Livescore Dressage decentralises the scoring process by getting the pencillers to enter the scores in real time.

This means that you no longer have to go through the process of collecting dressage sheets, taking them back to a central office and having a scorer (or multiple scorers) stuck in an office doing data entry all day.

Movement marks and judges comments are entered directly using a tablet and stylus, thereby completely removing paper from the system.

Individual movement marks can't be missed as the app won't let a test be finalised unless all scores are entered and the judge signs the test.

Removing paper cuts down on your printing costs and avoids problems of paper score sheets going missing in between the judges box and the scorers office. Having pencillers do the data entry that was previously the role of the scorer, either reduces your costs if you are paying your scorer, or reduces your volunteer overhead so that you don't burn out valuable volunteer resources.

Livescore Dressage combined with the Scoreboard scoring system, speeds up the entire process so that you don't have to wait around until early evening for the results to be available. You can fit more in to your day, or get home earlier. Your competitors are also happier because they don't have to wait around for hours after they have ridden in order to see their test sheets.

If the internet connection is lost during scoring, it does not matter as each test is automatically saved to the device.
As soon as the internet connection is restored, the app automatically begins uploading the saved tests to the scoreboard server.

Spectators can watch a "virtual big screen" with real time updates on a riders trending percentage and place - sent to their phone on a movement by movement basis in real time.

Spectators can tag individual riders and get sent final scores for that rider as soon as the test is completed.

Receive a digital version of your dressage test, complete with judges comments, as soon as the judge has signed and uploaded it.

No more waitng around until the sheets are collected, and data entered. In most cases you will receive your dressage test sheets by the time you get back to your truck.

The LiveScore dressage app will work on any smart device (tablet or phone, Apple or Android), however we have found that for best results you should use a device that has an integrated stylus.

We recommend the following:

Any of the Samsung tablets with S-Pen (Tab S3, Tab A6, Tab A10.1 etc.)

Samsung phones with S-Pen (Samsung Note 7, 8, 9 etc.)

Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro with M Pen

Any of the iPad Pro’s with Apple Pencil. The iPad Pro12.9 inch is probably the best as it gives you a large surface area to write on, but sadly it is also the most expensive of the tablets so may not be cost effective.

We personally use Samsung A6 devices as we found that they are the best value for money. For the purposes of scoring, you just need a device with WiFi or Mobile data capabilities that also has an integrated stylus. You don’t need a tablet or phone with a lot of other features.
