~ Derby Competition Training Day ~

Saturday 25th August '18

Berry Riding Club club grounds, 50 Schofields Ln Berry

A fabulous introduction to riding a X/country course!

You'll want to have 3 rounds because it's so much fun!

Entries close: Wednesday 22nd August '18. Entries limited to 60 rounds.

Our Derby is a jumping course made up of show jumps and x/country fences over a distance of approximately 1,200m, 12 jumps in total.  Course heights to choose from: 30/45cm or 45/60cm or 60/75cm or 75/90cm.

Riders at our Derby will ride a shorten show jumping course, followed by a gallop (or at a more comfortable speed - your choice of speed) and then onto the x/country course, another little gallop and finally over some more show jumps and through the finish flags. The x/country section will have a variety of jumps eg a roll top, gate, an apex, church roll top, log rolls etc. The 30/45cm course will consist of some very low solid x/country jumps plus poles on show jump bloks - ideal for beginner horses &/or riders.

Ribbons awarded to 5th based on an optimum time plus penalities on course.

All riders must wear a back protector. Riders must be either a member of BRC or the EA to participate in this clinic. Event membership available. Entries will be limited to 60 rounds.

Join BRC via our website www.berryridingclub.com $10 / rider event membership.

Derby Day Cost: BRC members $10 per round (plus admin & ground fees = $15).

                           Non-BRC members $15 per round (plus admin & ground fees = $15).

The classes will be run as per program ie Class 1 60/75cm being the first class. A maximum of 3 rounds per horse. Riders can ride the same height twice. The second round at the same height will be non-competitive. Riders are asked to ride in draw order. The draw will be emailed to riders after entries have closed ie the Thursday night prior to the event.
