MOUNT GAMBIER HORSE TRIALS

 

 

21st & 22nd September 2019

  

An excellent all weather course, run on undulating sandy loam country.  
The ground drains well, never gets hard or muddy – all year round riders can be assured of an excellent surface for their horses.

Riders please note: You are only allowed to book yards for the entries you are putting in. 

Yards will be allocated by the organising committee, however if you wish to camp near another person please advise with your entry.

Competitors wishing to enter a class with a wait list; enter as normal and a refund will be issued if not included in the draw.

Allowed at the discretion of the committee.

COURSE CLOSURE:

DECLARATIONS:

Competitors must declare their intention to withdraw by 5.00pm Thursday, 18 September to 0408081004. Scratchings after the close of entries MUST have a vet/medical certificate. The Administration Fee will not be refunded for ANY entry.

GEAR CHECK:

Riders will be observed in all phases.

INSPECTION OF X-COUNTRY:

From approximately 12.00 noon Saturday, 21st September 2019. This will be announced on the day.

PONY CLUB GROUNDS:

67 yards only within the grounds are available, with shower and toilet facilities. Strictly no power. ($30.00 per yard includes camping).Yard bookings via Nominate must accompany entry.

The grounds are marked with signage. Entry via the Airport entrance after 7:00am on Saturday.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS BY ORDER OF AIRPORT MANAGEMENT, ANY PERSON BRINGING A DOG ONTO THE GROUNDS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.

CATERING:

Available on both days.

PRESENTATIONS:

All place getters to wear show jumping attire. First place getters to present with horse in bridle to receive prize.

OTHER DETAILS:

Medical armbands are compulsory and are to be supplied by the rider.
Back number holders are compulsory and are to be supplied by the rider.
Body protectors are compulsory and are to be supplied by the rider.

PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE

Dressage: Saturday commencing 8.00 am (approx) Cross Country: Sunday commencing 8.00am (approx) Showjumping: Sunday *Depending on entries some classes may be programmed to show jump Saturday afternoon Inspection of Course: Saturday afternoon. Time to be confirmed and announced on the day.

COMPETITORS

  • A member is a Pony Club rider under the age of 17 years.

  • A senior is a Pony Club rider of 17 years and overAge of riders determined as 1st January 2019

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR PONY CLUB RIDERS

    To qualify for the State ODE a combination must obtain four (4) attendance qualifications within the preceding 12 months as for any other event. A combination must also obtain a completion at the relevant height, in a Pony Club competition, or for Grade One only, completion in a Pony Club or EA equivalent competition, within the preceding 18 months.

* See page 88, Article 4.0

A “completion” means not eliminated from competition. No combination will be allowed to ride non-competitively (HC) in Pony Club State Championship classes.

TIME TABLE & DRAW

The draw will be notified on the PCASA web site http://www.ponyclub.asn.au & emailed to all entrants who have provided a legible email address one week prior to the event. A full program will be available to competitors on the weekend.

SECRETARY’S OFFICE

The Secretary’s office will be open from 7am Saturday 21st September 2019.

CARDS
All Pony Club riders competing in State ODE are required to send in copies of cards prior to the event. Clearly showing

grade, financial status, qualifications & completion. Please email to mountgambierhorsetrials@hotmail.com

All competitors are required to present their Pony Club cards and helmets to the Secretary’s office prior to the commencement of the competition and cards will be held for the duration of the competition.

Cards will be checked for grades, qualifications and financial status.
NOTE: Each Pony Club combination must have a current Performance Card and must be a financial member of a Pony Club. Any rider who does not present a current Attendance/Performance Card will not be permitted to ride.

EXEMPTION CARDS: To be carried by those holding C Certificate over 17yrs and must be produced on demand by the gear checkers if using Pony Club non -compliant Saddlery / tack. (for example approved 2018 EA bits)

NO PONY CLUB CARD – NO RIDE

All COMPETITORS INCLUDING ADULTS MUST WEAR FULL PONY CLUB UNIFORM

BODY NUMBER HOLDERS/MEDICAL ARM BANDS

Riders are required to provide their own body number holder andmedical armband.

REFUNDS

Refunds after closing date will only be considered sighting doctor or veterinary certificate within 2 weeks of event at the organizingcommittees’ discretion - Administration fee is non-refundable

The organisers reserve the right to:

RESULTS

Results will be published on the PCASA web site at the completion of the event.

Protests must be accordance with PCASA rules for the conduct of One DayEvents.

South Australian State Championship Classes:

A rug and trophy will be awarded for 1st place and sashes to 6th place.
The highest placed South Australian rider of each Grade 1 class will be presented with the respective State Perpetual Trophy

Interstate Classes:

Sashes to 6th place.
All individual classes are to be entered online at www.nominate.com.au

Entry Fee: $20 per team

Prizes: Sashes to 3rd place.
3 or 4 riders to be nominated with the best three scores to count. Teams may consist of any age group of riders.

Teams must be nominated to the Event Secretary and paid for by 12 noon on Saturday, Zones may enter more than one team per grade.

CAMPING & YARDS

67 yards only within the grounds are available, with shower and toilet facilities. Strictly no power. ($30.00 per yard includes camping). Yards will be allocated to competitors. Only competitors who have yards booked at the grounds are permitted to camp at the venue.

Please make sure all holes are filled, fodder and rubbish collected and disposed of and manure is removed. Failure to do this in all areas may compromise our access to these areas for future events.

Portable yards are not permitted on the Pony Club grounds. Camping in the airport area is not permitted.
