Saturday: 8.30am, Dressage, 12 noon Showjumping. First Start, all phases (DR, SJ, XC, Prizegiving).
Sunday: 9am, Cross Country. Prizegiving, unmounted, approx 2.30pm.
ENTRY FEES
Class 1 ESNZ CCN2*S Individual Entry $110 per combination, includes ESNZ Levy $40
Classes 2-5 Individual Entry $60 per combination
Classes 6-7 NZPC First Start Level 3 $30 per combination
Admin Fee includes Ground Fee $25 per combination (non-refundable)
Standard Yard $10 per horse per night
Camping non-powered $10 per night per truck/float
Camping powered $20 per night per truck/float

The NZPCA First Start regulations state the following:
PREAMBLE: These Regulations were introduced in October 2015 and were developed to meet the growing needs of our young and inexperienced pony club members. They provide opportunities for new and inexperienced riders to practice the necessary riding skills in a safe competition environment. They are not designed for experienced riders to educate young or inexperienced horses/ponies. Riders that have competed at 65cms and higher will not be accepted in First Start. Riders in classes 6 or 7, cannot enter classes 1-5.
Class 1 ESNZ Registered Riders. Article: 619 Prizes (505). Prize money for places 1st to 4th (dependent on entries)
Classes 2-5 are open to all riders, all ages. Except those entered in either Class 6 or 7.
Class 6 First Start maximum age 17 as at Friday September 2 2022. Can only enter Class 6.
Class 7 First Start 18 years and over (Adults). Can only enter Class 7.

PRIZE GIVING
First Start Prizegiving will be on Saturday, thirty minutes after the posting of the results. First Placed Mounted, in the birdcage.
First Placed Mounted unless weather terrible, all other placings unmounted, thirty minutes after the posting of the results. On the inside area of the race track. Class 1, Article 619 Prizes applies, prize money for places 1st to 4th dependent on entries..
RULES
- Event held under NZPCA & ESNZ Rules for Eventing
- Article 611: Reservation of Right. OC may subsititute prizes or amend programme.
- NO dogs. You will be asked to leave
- All Competitors MUST nominate a named helper or entry won't be accepted
- Yellow or Red tagged helmets, regulation body protectors and back number holders required
- Competitors compete at their own risk. All persons and vehicles enter the property at their own risk. As per ESNZ Eventing Art 651, all horses while on the competition grounds must have either a personal ID tag or their competition number on at all times.
- Draw will be posted on nominate and emailed to riders where possible
- NZPCA classes: 75% of Entry Fees will be refunded with a Vet Certificate for the horse entered or Medical Certificate for the rider entered if advised prior to 5pm Friday September 2 2022 via email to copcentries@gmail.com and certificate received within 5 days after the Event. FARRIER: Empire Equine & Farrier Service's Daniel Miller will be onsite. 0276471352. Central Otago Pony Club welcomes farrier Daniel Miller to our Spring ODE, September 3 & 4. Daniel is the on-call farrier and will be on the grounds. Based in Dunedin, Daniel has established a Central Otago customer base with regular trips. Daniel has been mentored by well-known farrier Trevor Sutherland. Please contact Daniel direct, payment to him.
