1          ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Suncoast Junior Motorcycle Club Inc., hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct CLOSED TO CLUB EVENTS for Motocross for juniors and seniors at the Suncoast Junior Motorcycle Coolum Track, on dates as per applications (subject to change).

 

  1.   JURISDICTION:

   2.1.  The above mentioned meeting has been authorised by MQ who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number as above, and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia national, mini and one meeting Licences (OML to Juniors riders only if they hold a current JCP Log Book), who are full financial members of the Suncoast Junior Motorcycle Club (no discount or one-day membership allowed)

   2.2.  The meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport General Competition Rules (GCR’s), these Supplementary Regulations.

BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS.

 

  1.   ENTRIES:

   3.1.  Entries for club days can be made via www.nominate.com.au – Entries will close Friday 9pm closest to each Club Day. Club Day entries made on the day of the event will incur a set fee after Club Day #2. Entries close at the end of sign on.

   3.2.  In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, the Suncoast Junior Motorcycle Club Inc. may retain all or any part of the entry fee, if Motorcycling Queensland approves such retention.

   3.3   NOTE:-LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE SUNCOAST JUNIOR MOTORCYCLE CLUB INC

 

  1.   INSURANCE:

  4.1.   National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.

4.2.      Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees.

4.3      IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE.

 

5.          MEDICAL SERVICES:

EMT Medical Services shall be in attendance from the start of practice until fifteen minutes after the last race.

 

  1.       ENTRY FEE:

6.1.     $45.00 Seniors $35.00 Juniors, $30 for Div 1 Riders and $15.00 for an extra class per rider. $10.00 Combined Flag Marshall and Ambulance Levy per person. Div 1 riders will not be required pay the Flag Marshall Levy.

6.2.     Payment can be made through nominate, or by Cheques or cash.  ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT.

  1. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to the Suncoast Junior Motorcycle Club Inc.

      7.2 The club reserves the right to combine classes on the day due to numbers.

 

8    AWARDS:

8.1   First, second and third place awards will be presented to each class entered.

8.2   All 50cc demo entrants will receive a trophy as this is only a demonstration class and no points are awarded.

8.3   All senior classes will receive $50 for 1st place, $30 for 2nd place and $20 for third place. Vets and Women’s receive trophies. Please note you must be present to collect any prize monies. Monies will not be handed to anyone other than the recipient. Monies and trophies not collected by the conclusion of the next race meet will be donated back to the club.

8.4   All points for club days accumulate and go in for the end of year awards. Points will awarded as per MOMs

An overall award will be presented to the senior & junior rider with the highest amount of points for the whole club at the end of the year.

8.5  TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR END OF YEAR TROPHIES -  RIDERS MUST HAVE COMPETED IN 6 OUT OF 8 DESIGNATED  CLUB DAYS FOR 2018.

 

  1. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:

9.1 Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and / or prize money, will be at the discretion of the Suncoast Junior Motorcycling Club Inc., subject to Motorcycling Queensland approval.

For Junior and Senior riders:

10.1. SIGN ON / SCRUTINEERING  -  6.30 AM – 7.45 AM

10.2.  RIDERS BRIEFING - 8.00AM – 8-15AM (@ Main track start gates)

          PRACTICE -   8-30 AM

          RACING STARTS AT END OF PRACTICE

          PRESENTATION WILL BE AT THE CONCLUSION OF RACING

For Div 1 riders:

          MINI TRACK PARENT AND RIDERS BRIEFING (@ mini track start gates)

          PRESENTATION WILL BE AT THE CONCLUSION OF RACING WITH THE REST OF THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR RIDERS

 

 

 

  1.  MACHINES AND RIDERS:

11.1.   All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Motocross Competition.

 

11.2     Riders must advise in writing any change of machine before entering the track.  Failure to do so will result in no points awarded for this rider in the race.  Machine must pass examination before re- entering competition.

 

11.3    Helmets are mandatory. All persons including officials using any bike, trike or quad at an event must be wearing a properly secured helmet.

 

  1. RIDING NUMBERS:

12.1.   Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their Registered Riding Number (the number on the back of their licence), but the promoter does reserve the right to allocate numbers at their discretion. National Licence holders have precedence over Club Licence holders when it comes to Number allocation.

  1. All Number plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’s. Number plates will be as per GCR’s age group colours for junior competitors and GCR’s for all other competitors.
  2. Back numbers – All competitors (Junior & Senior) must wear legible machine identification number on his/her back in contrasting colours.  Any rider that does not display an approved back number whilst competing MAY NOT be awarded points for that leg of racing.

 

 

  1. GRID POSITIONS:

Grid positions will be determined by self-selection on the day.

 

  1.   RIDERS BRIEFING:

14.1   A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing and ALL Competitors MUST attend Rider

          briefing.

14.2   All junior riders MUST be accompanied at riders briefing by a parent or guardian.

14.3   RIDERS BRIEFING IS A NON-SMOKING AREA.

 

15.    CLUB GRADINGS

  1. Club Grading will occur at this Event. Please be aware that your National Grading is separate to your SCJMC Club Grading.
  2. Grading is determined by race times and MQ/Club officials, and may be subject to change.
  3.  If a rider is regraded during the year, they will carry 75% of their accumulated points to the higher class, to equal third place or lower.
  4. To be eligible for club championship points, a regraded rider must compete in their new class on club days for the remainder of the year.

 

16.     CODE OF CONDUCT:

All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT          (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings.  This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced.

 

17.     CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:

Main track: The circuit is sandy soil with man made jumps.  The distance is approx. 1.685 km long and 6 - 8 mtrs wide.

Division 1 Mini Track is 505m long and 6m wide.

 

  1. STARTS:

All starts will be self -penalising gates.  A maximum of forty (40) gates will be used for motocross.

 

19.      RACING:

19.1  Each class will have a minimum of 5 mins practice immediately following riders briefing  -1st lap will be under a yellow flag. The maximum number of riders at practice will 125% of the start gate.

19.2  Div 2 races will be 7minutes races, all other Junior classes, Vets & Women’s, will be 9 minutes, Senior Lites C 11minutes races, Senior Lites A/B 15minutes races, Senior Open A/B/C will have 15minutes races. 3 rounds of racing.

19.3  50cc demo will be run separately from 50cc auto class and will be on the new mini track doing 6 rounds @ 10mins each round.

19.4  All classes of same capacity will run together but will be pointed separately as per grade.

 

20.     NOISE:

Random Noise Testing will be conducted as per current GCRs. All machines must comply with the current MOM’s for round emissions. Testing may be undertaken at any time throughout the event. Penalties or exclusions may be applied for machines which do not comply. It is suggested that all competitors be prepared to adjust/replace exhausts systems that do not comply.

 

21      MACHINE EXAMINATION:

This will be conducted in front of the tower in the designated area.  All competitors must present themselves with machines, helmets, boots, back numbers, licence & membership cards. Failure to do so will mean exclusion from meeting. All junior riders must present logbooks.

 

 

24      FLAG MARSHALLS:

The club will be supply flag Marshalls at a cost of $10. This is a compulsory cost for everyone (exception is Divi 1).

 

25      GUARDIANSHIP FORMS:

Riders 17 years & under must have a guardianship form signed by their parents or guardians if not accompanied by them on the day of racing.  If this form is not filled out and handed in at sign on, that rider will not be riding.  No exceptions.

 

26 TRANSPONDERS:

26.1   It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted correctly and securely to prevent  damage from fouling other components on the machine. Reusable cable ties will be provided.

26.2   The onus is on the parent/guardian of junior competitors to ensure that the correct transponder is on the correct machine prior to each event.

26.3    All competitors are required to provide their MA licence in exchange for a timing transponder (if hired)

26.4    Transponders must be picked up and returned to the designated person/s.

26.5    When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it then becomes the competitor’s responsibility to pay for any repairs or replacement costs of the transponder if damaged or lost whilst in their care.

26.6   It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure the transponders are returned in a good, clean condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the end of the event.

 

27. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING

All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020506.  When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the Motorcycling Queensland discretion until the results of the tests are known. All alcohol is banned from being consumed in the pit area and pit paddock during racing.  Any person/s found consuming alcohol in these areas WILL be asked to leave the meeting with their rider/s.  THIS WILL BE ENFORCED. For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7.00am with the completion of the meeting for participant being when the participant has vacated the venue

 

28. TEAR OFF EXEMPTION

  • 2 tear-off disposal bins are strategically located at the track exit to allow riders to dispose of used tear offs when exiting the track.
  • The Pit Area has a suitable number of bins to allow for the convenient and appropriate disposal of litter (including tears-offs).
  • All bins are lidded, and rubbished is disposed of in accordance with Local Government regulations.
  • The club aims to ensure the collection of any loose tear-offs following facility use by: ▪ Flag Marshals assisting with the collection of loose tear-offs from the track upon their return to the Pit Area
  • Junior members of the club participating in an ‘end of day clean up’ by collecting loose tear-offs and other litter in exchanging for a small reward
  • Encouraging all members to collect any litter in their vicinity during, and at the end of facility use.
  • The Club holds regular Working Bees. These working Bees include the collection and disposal of any loose litter at the facility.

 

 

NO DOGS ALLOWED (GUIDE DOGS ACCEPTED).NO FIRECRACKERS, FIREWORKS, PUSHBIKES, SCOOTERS OR PIBIKES ALLOWED PIT AREA.

RIDING OUT OF PIT AREA IS PROHIBITED.  IF CAUGHT RIDING OUTSIDE PIT AREA YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEIDATELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
