Conditions of Entry
The organising committee reserves the right to alter or cancel any competition at its discretion.
This event will be conducted in accordance with EA rules using 2023 EA Dressage tests
Competitors for this event must be current financial members of QDC. Membership application through Nominate. https://www.nominate.com.au/Clubs/JoinClub.aspx. Riders who are found to compete that are not members may be eliminated.
Separate competitions will be held for child, junior, open, Rider with a Disability and Masters in all classes. Child riders: up to and including 13 years of age. Junior riders: 14 and up to and including 18 years of age. Riders with a Disability must be a member of an affiliated body. Masters rider: 60 years and over.
Child/Junior/Masters riders may ride in their respective age class OR in the open class; they may not enter in both. Para/RWD/Virtus riders will have their own individual class.
Scratchings will be accepted up to the closing date via NOMINATE ONLY. No Refunds after the close date unless a medical/vet certificate is provided
Horses may now compete in THREE TESTS per horse/rider entry, in 2 consecutive levels eg Novice and Preliminary or Novice and Elementary.
Alternatively, riders may choose to nominate THREEE HORSES at a QDC event, but may only ride a maximum of six tests between these 3 horses.
Where a rider has nominated 3 horses, QDC will attempt to schedule the draw so that entrants have the most time available at that event between their horses tests. Riders acknowledge that by nominating three horses they may NOT receive the recommended 60 minutes between tests, nor the 90 minutes between horses, due to small numbers of entries in classes. Test times will not be held over if a rider is unable to present to the judge on time.
Steward: All riders must present to the steward after completing each test. Failure to present to the steward may incur elimination
Hors Concours (Non Competitive) NC Horses may compete at any EA level but must compete NC if competing below their level. NC must be declared prior to the commencement of the competition (test).
Stallions must wear a ‘Green Disc’ displayed on either their saddlecloth or bridle and competitors are advised to be mindful when parking and or riding near a stallion not to provoke him in any way.
Riders may be changed before the start of competition. A rider of a horse may not be changed if another rider has ridden the horse on the day, either in warm up or competition. Horses cannot be changed, one rider per horse for the entire event.
CATERING: Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no food supplied on the day, please pack your own lunch. Depending on availability there MAY be a coffee van on the day. COVID-19 precautions must be adhered to. The clubhouse is only to be accessed by committee members. Tea/coffee and slice are available for a gold coin donation.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Hot weather policy https://www.equestrian.org.au/sites/default/files/EA_Hot_Weather%20Policy_26092017.pdf Owners and riders are advised to familiarise themselves with this policy.
