Catering:  Alandale will run canteen all day - breakfast and lunch (cash or bank transfer on the day, NO EFTPOS)

Welcome to SeNSWRHC's first show of the year. 

Rules will be run in accordance with the RHAA Rulebook, please familiarise yourself with it. 
 

Note** there is no limit to how many classes a competitor may enter their horse for, however there can be no more than 2 divisions per class, per horse.

 

Classes on offer are:

  • Ranch Trail (includes Ranch Prospect Trail for all unbroken horses, all breeds)
  • Ranch Riding
  • Ranch Pleasure
  • Ranch on the Rail
  • Ranch Reining (Not available to lvl 1 Green Division)
  • Ranch Boxing (Mechanical Cow), (not available to lvl 1 Green Division), no english saddles.
  • Ranch Conformation
     

The following Divisions are available within each class to competitors:

  • Level 1 - Green
    • *ineligible for Intermediate, Heritage Snaffle Bit or Open classes*
    • Walk/Trot only
    • Suitable for newcomers/ encouragement.
    • Youth and Adults are welcome.
    • May be ridden two handed in a snaffle bit or hackamore (mechanical not permitted)
    • Any ‘safe’ saddle, with the exclusion of bareback pads. Includes. English, Western, stock, fender or half breed saddles
    • Horses entered in this class are Ineligible for INTERMEDIATE or OPEN classes
    • **'Youth (Lead)' class will be run alongside this division on the day, however will be scored seperately. **
       
  • Level 2 - Intermediate
    • Walk/Trot/Canter 
    • Suitable for previously compettion exposed horse/riders. 
    • Youth and Adults are welcome.
    • May be ridden one or two handed in any legal headgear
      • Rider must not swap from one to two hands or visa versa during the class if riding in a curb bit. 
    • Any safe saddle, with the exception of bareback pads. Includes. English, Western, stock, fender or half breed saddles permitted.
       
  • Level 3 - Heritage Snaffle Bit
    • * ineligible for Green and Open classes*
    • Walk/Trot/Canter
    • Suitable for experienced competition riders who prefer Stock/Fender tack Vs Western.
    • Youth and Adults are welcome.
    • Ridden two handed in a snaffle bit regardless of horses age
    • Fender, stock, or half-breed saddle. (NO western saddles permitted)
       
  • Level 4 - Open level
    •  *If entered in Open level you are ineligible for Green and Intermediate classes*
    • Junior Horse
      • Open to all horses 3-5Yo, regardless of rider level professional or non-professional.
      • Youth and Adults are welcome.
      • Can be ridden in a snaffle bit, hackamore, or curb bit one handed
      • Western saddles only.
    • Senior Horse
      • Open to all horses 6yo and over, regardless of rider level professional or non-professional.
      • Youth and Adults are welcome.
      • Horses MUST be ridden one handed in a bridle, split reins, romal or two rein.
      • Western saddles only.
    • Open Youth
      • Suitable for competitive youth riders
      • If riding a Junior horse, can be ridden in a snaffle bit, hackamore, or curb bit one handed.
      • If riding Senior horse, horses MUST be ridden one handed in a bridle, split reins, romal or two rein.
      • Western Saddles only.


Attire:

WESTERN ATTIRE MANDATORY (ALL COMPETITORS, AND RESPONSIBLE PARENTS LEADING YOUTH)

  • Long sleeve shirt, collar (band, stand-up, tuxedo, etc.)
  • Western hat (the hat must be on the rider’s head when the exhibitor enters the arena)
    • or ASS approved safety helmet. Safety standard numbers for these helmets are AS-NZS 3838, ARBHS 2012 and ASTM F1163. (Helmets are compulsary for all youth riders.)
  • Western pants/jeans
  • Western boots.
  • Optional Attire Spurs, chinks, and chaps in ridden classes.
