Join us for a relaxed, supportive day of jumping designed to build confidence, raise funds for our club, and most importantly — have fun with your horse! Whether you’re just starting out over poles or ready to tackle 1.0m and beyond, this is the perfect chance to practice in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
Held at Birralee District Pony Club grounds, 852 Frankford Road in Glengarry, Tasmania,

Participant waiver is compulsory for all riders - please complete and attach this form:

Heights

  • Classes range from poles on the ground and crossrails up to 1.0m.

  • Riders wishing to start above 1.0m can also be accommodated.

Rounds

  • Each horse-and-rider combination may ride up to 2 rounds, either at the same height or different heights.

  • Rounds will be run in an unofficial, training-style format with coaching support provided.

Format

  • Riders have 2 minutes on course.

  • The bell signals the start and end of your time.

  • Within that time, you may:

    • Jump the fences in any order.

    • Re-present to any fences you’d like to try again.

    • Jump one final fence after the bell.

  • The course is designed to allow jumping from both directions.

Support

  • A qualified course designer will be on hand.

  • A jumping specialist coach will provide guidance during rounds.

  • Riders will also have access to pre- and post-event Zoom calls, offering extra support, exercises, and creative ideas for making up your own courses.

  • Beginner riders must have a coach or responsible adult in the arena with them at all times.

  • Helpers are required to be on course to quickly rebuild fences so riders can make the most of their time. Please assist at heights other than the one you are riding, and in turn others will help you. This teamwork is essential to keep the day running smoothly.

Why Come Along?

  • Friendly, supportive environment — perfect for building confidence.

  • Practice over a course with expert feedback and flexible formats.

  • Support your local club while enjoying a great day out.

Can’t ride on the day? You can still be part of it and support Birralee & Districts Pony Club.

With a supporter entry (small fee), you’ll get access to:
✨ A pre-event Zoom call – learn how to make the most of a course, ride it different ways, and prepare at home.
✨ A post-event Zoom call – unpack what worked, what to try next, and practical training ideas for your own arena.

This is a fantastic way for parents, coaches, and riders without a horse on the day to learn, get inspired, and support our fundraising efforts.

Every supporter entry helps us keep our little club thriving
