BUNBURY TURF CLUB

6 BAR SHOWJUMPING COMPETITION

The Bunbury Turf Club is excited to be hosting a Six Bar Competition on Sunday, 28th June 2026.

Please be sure to be familiar with all the information and rules regarding this event. This class will be run under Article 230.3.3.2 and is open to all Off The Track WA-registered horses. 

The event is offering $20,000 in prize money.

First Place - $11,000  Second Place - $3,800  Third Place - $1,800 Fourth Place - $800 Fifth Place - $600  6th - 10th Place - $400 each

The competition will take place on the All Weather Fibre Track inside the main grass. Starting height will be 80cm [height of the last fence in the first round]. Familiarisation time will be available prior to the start.

Presentations will take place immediately after the final jump off [between races], and all winners and placegetters must be present and mounted. There will also be a Junior Award [rider 18 years and under], which will be presented to the highest placed Horse/Junior Rider Combination on the day.

Riders may compete on more than one horse, but must still adhere to the draw on the day. The Draw will be emailed via Nominate, and riders must compete in the order of the draw unless they have requested and received permission from the organiser to change their order.  

Riders MUST have current insurance to compete, either via EA  or PC.  Membership numbers required when entering. PC riders will be gear checked. 

Parking will be in the centre of the race track. All horses will need to be very safely secured, tied to floats or trucks and ideally within attached yards. No onsite yards/stalls are available for use on the day. 

Horses are to be supervised at all times and are not to be left unattended. Vehicle movement within the infield will be restricted once the race meeting commences at 1 pm [TBC].

 All Riders, grooms and any person associated with any horse or rider entered on the day must follow instructions from appointed marshalls. Movement will be entirely  restricted during scheduled races on this day.

No Camping.  No Dogs.

Refund Policy - Event Fees

Where a scratching is received before the close of entries, a refund of fees may be approved, less 10% for administration. 

A refund request after the close entries must be received by the club within 10 days of the scratching and will also incur a 10% administration fee. This will only be approved when -

[a] A medical certificate is supplied to verify that the rider is unable to compete.

[b] A veterinary certificate is supplied to verify that the horse is unable to compete.
