Inagural Versatility Challenge – A Fun New event for Every Rider!

Looking for something a little different to spice up your competition day? Come and try our Versatility Challenge,  a relaxed, fun-focused event designed to test partnership, rhythm, and accuracy in a supportive atmosphere.

🔹 Flatwork Phase

Ride a simple test similar to an easy Walk–Trot or Preliminary level, with poles and cones added to keep things interesting.

Judging focuses on rhythm, accuracy, and harmony not whether your horse is perfectly “on the bit.”

🔹 Style Obstacles

A selection of creative, fun obstacles inspired by Working Equitation (WE) but not strictly traditional WE. Think variety, flow, and enjoyment!

🔹 Speed Obstacles

A light-hearted sporting phase with engaging obstacles designed to test agility and responsiveness, perfect for riders who enjoy a bit of friendly excitement.

🔹 Jump Versatility Phase (Xrail/45cm and 60cm)

Not your typical showjumping round!

Expect a mixture of unique jumping efforts, such as:

• Inline combinations

• 4-bar style fences

• Wagon wheel jumps

• Poles with a potential hay bale corridor

This event is ideal for riders who want to build confidence, try something new, and most importantly have a great time with their horse.

Fun prizes on offer and ribbons to 6th place in the following age groups. 

• Juniors (Under 16) – Future Champions
• 16–30 – Fearless Flyers
• 30–49– Seasoned Stylists
• 50+ – Legends in the Saddle

This event for one entry fee of $35 for members and $55 EA members and day members. 

First aid will be on site from 30 minutes before official event start time. Our first aiders are level 2.
