SWEQ & GEC 'Working Equitation (WEQ) Mocktition'
Sunday 11th May 2025 held at the GEC Grounds
NOTE: This event is being run in conjunction with Galston Equestrian Club (GEC) and will be held at the GEC grounds, called the Rural Sports Facility located off Mansfield Rd, Galston.
What is a 'Mocktition'? This is our SWEQ term to describe a WEQ competition but without the scoring or places. The day will run like a competition in that you enter a class and prior to the day you are emailed a draw with your dressage test time, your obstacle course Ease of Handling (EOH) draw time and map, and speed phase draw time. There will be judges to provide feedback on test papers, but there is no scoring so therefore no places. A Mocktition is a way for both competitors and organisers to practice competing in and organsing a competition. If time permits riders can have several attempts at their dressage test or EOH course. There will be helpers in the warm up areas if you need assistance riding a WEQ Dressage Test (done in a 40m x 20m arena) or riding the obstacles.
Venue: The Rural Sports Facility, Cnr Bayfield & Mansfield Rd, Galston. Float entrance off Mansfield Rd, Galston.
