*riders are welcome to compete above their age group in the Barrels & Obstacles but are not permitted to compete below their age group.
Time Table: Gates Open: 6am|Gear Check: 7:30am - 9am|Led Riders Start: 8am|All other Classes Start: 9am|Feature events after lunch
Rules and conditions:
- ASA 3838 (or better) standard helmet must be worn. Helmet must less than 5 years old from date of manufacture – this can be found inside helmets label. – HELMETS FOR HIRE $55 for the day refund of $50 with return of the helmet.
- The committee reserves the right to alter or amend the program.
- No dogs allowed on the grounds.
- Any type of saddle may be used and bits pony club rules, if you’re not sure please contact organisers or go to https://ponyclubaustralia.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/PCA-National-Gear-Rules-2023.pdf All tack must be in “good” condition and all stitching and buckles must be secure in order to pass gear check.
- Please note that this is a charity event for fun and therefore the Judge’s decision is final in all events.
- Stallions are not permitted and sorry no Donkeys.
- Please use Mackays Road ONLY as entry to Mt wheeler road as the road from Cawarral is unsuitable for horse trailers.
- Refund of nominations is available in the event of injury or illness to rider or horse that prevents attendance with receipt of doctors’ certificate or vet certificate – or transferred into raffle tickets.
- Nominations must be accompanied by payment. Nominations close Friday 7th October middnight. We prefer no nominations on the day – (if you do nominate on the day you must have all forms and correct money).
- Riders can compete in more than one barrel race or obstacle race if they fit the age requirements e.g. an 11 year old can pay and compete in U12 barrels, U17 barrels and the open barrels and or open obstacles as long as they pay the nomination fee e.g. ((gymkhana)$25 + (open barrels)$20 + (U12 barrels)$12 + (U17 barrels)$12 = $69)
- One horse one rider in the gymkhana, barrels or obstacles.

Nominations online by Friday 6th October – We prefer no Noms on the day for the gymkhana games – Gymkhana Nominations on the day must come before 7.30am, with all forms printed & filled out with correct cash money. We WILL accept late noms for those who chose to enter the Barrels or Obstacles - cash only .
