Members Arena Familiarisation and Welcome Back Lunch

Come and celebrate the new year with us!  Ride in the Indoor and/or Outdoor Arena plus join us for a picnic lunch with your fellow dressage community friends from 1pm - 2pm. PLEASE BRING A PICNIC DISH TO SHARE. If the weather is too hot for lunch outside we can seek shade in the pavilion or down in our office or even under the trees in front of our office.

Get your horse/pony more comfortable with the Indoor arena experience, and school him/her with other horses. Practise your dressage test in a full size outdoor dressage arena.

Event Details:

• Current CWDG Members Only
• Registration: Entries must be submitted by midnight, Saturday 15th February. No late entries will be accepted.
• You may enter a maximum of 1 timeslot in the Indoor Arena and 1 timeslot in the Outdoor Arena per horse.
• Beverages: Juices, Tea & Coffee will be supplied by CWDG
• Food: Cooked Meat provided by CWDG as well as plates, cups and cuttlery.
• PLEASE BRING A DISH TO SHARE ie SALAD, SLICES PICNIC DISH ETC.
• Indoor Arena (40m x 60m)
  • Designed to accommodate two full size dressage arenas measuring just over 40m x 60m (no lettering)
  • You may wish to ride with a friend or two so, book you times together.
  • Horses must be entered to attend.
  • You must be either a CWDG or EA member to enter.
  • Maximum of 5 horses per timeslot (1 hour).
  • Horse welfare is paramount.  You must abide by any direction given to you by the Committee.
• Outdoor Arena (Nearest the Indoor Arena):
  • Full size dressage arena measuring 20m x 60m with letters placed around arena
  • Come and practice your tests in a fully marked arena
  • You will have the arena to yourself in your chosen timeslot (1/2 hour)
  • You must be either a CWDG or EA member to enter.
  • Horse welfare is paramount.  You must abide by any direction given to you by the OC
• Lunging only in the lunging yards provided, not in any arena.
• Do not use the 2 outdoor arenas at the far end of the ground. Committee are too thin on the ground to rake these as well.
• Yards will be free of charge on a first come first served basis, please leave them clean and tidy.
• If the weather is too hot for lunch outside we can seek shade in the pavilion or down in our office.

Conditions:

• Refer to CWDG conditions of entry, entry form 2025
• You may enter a maximum of 1 timeslot in the Indoor Arena and 1 timeslot in the Outdoor Arena per horse.

Facilities:

• Arenas: State of the art indoor (approx. 40m x 60m) and top outdoor sand arena, lettered (20m x 60m) available for this event.
• Wash bay: Four (4) wash bays available for use.
• Yards: Cattle Yards, Undercover Yards and PC Yards on a first come first served basis. 
• Manure Disposal: Please deposit all manure from yards and next to floats into the concrete bunker on the eastern side near the cattle yards. Wheelbarrows and tools are provided.
