Grassroots, low key encouraging day perfect for young riders needing experience in the ring, and green horses. The goal of the day is to build confidence and develop skills of the horse and riders.
Ribbons and prizes for place getters. Each height is divided into 3 age groups.

Event Information
This is a fun, low-key event designed to give young and inexperienced horses and riders the opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and improve their ring craft in a supportive environment.
Classes & Dressage Tests ($50 per class)
• Lead Line (Poles to 30 cm) – Lead line test available via Nominate
• 30 cm – Dressage test: Prep 1
• 45 cm – Dressage test: Prelim 1.1
• 60 cm – Dressage test: Prelim 1.1
• 80 cm – Dressage test: Prelim 1.2
Each class will be divided into the following age groups:
- Under 12
- 12-18
- 19+
Prizes: Ribbons for 1st to 3rd place and for every rider who goes clear.
Entry Fees
• General Entry: $50 per class
• Woodridge Equestrian or Pony Club Members: $40 per class
• Helper Duty Fee: $20 (refunded upon completion of duty)
Riders must nominate a preferred time or helper duty during registration. Refunds are processed after signing off at the clubroom.
Membership & Insurance
Riders must indicate their membership status when entering:
✅ Pony Club (PC) Member
✅ Equestrian Australia (EA) Member
✅ Woodridge Equestrian/Pony Club Member
✅ Require Event Public Liability Cover ($20) (for riders who are not PC, EA, or Woodridge members)
All riders must agree to and sign a disclaimer before participating.
Gear & Safety Requirements
• Gear check follows Pony Club WA Hickstead Rules 2023 & National Gear Checking Rules 2023.
• Jumping Phase: Riders must wear a Level 3 safety vest.
• Lead Line Riders: No noseband. A headcollar must be under the bridle and led from the headcollar (not the bit) unless using an attachment that clips to both sides.
Dress Code
• Pony Club Members: Formal uniform for dressage.
• Cross Country: Long-sleeved tops and body protectors.
• Footwear: Jodhpur boots with chaps or long PCWA-approved boots.
• Tack: Must comply with PCWA standards and be clean and in good order.
Bridle Numbers: Not required (as this is a grassroots event).
