SUE BRANDON-BROWN 1950- 2016
A girl from Newcastle with a love of horses, made South Australia her home.
On having a daughter who inherited her passion for all things equestrian, Sue threw herself into the support of our horse community, beginning with Golden Spur Pony Club when Chelsea was 10 years old.
From here on she served tirelessly on both the Strathalbyn and the South Australian Show Jumping Club’s committees for many years. She held the position of Vice President here at SSJC, and ran the canteen with amazing dedication and efficiency.
There would not be a showjumping rider in the Fleurieu Peninsula or the Adelaide Hills who would not know her lovely smiling face, as she dealt with all comers beautifully, with her natural warmth and hospitality.
There are so many unsung heroes in our sport behind the scenes……without them there would be no well run events or prepared competitors. Sue was one of those amazing people, who we are proud to honour. A modest, but very strong woman, taken sadly far too early and very much missed.
