Shoalhaven Dressage Club Inc Closed Unrestricted event will be run under current EA rules (Effective Jan 1 2024) This competition has Closed Unrestricted and Junior classes.
Riders please note:
ALL COMPETITIONS WILL BE RUN ON OUR FABULOUS GRASS SURFACE
For all Event Classes- You must be a current EA or SDC member to enter. PLEASE check your membership is current with EA or Shoalhaven Dressage Club before entering.
This event is not a Hendra Vaccinated Event. For details regarding the Hendra Policy, refer to the Hendra By Laws on the EA website.
Horse Identification numbers are compulsory. Numbers must be displayed on BOTH sides of the horse/pony - on either the saddlecloth or bridle. Contact ENSW for a free bridle number if your horse does not have one.
After normal entries close, LATE ENTRIES will be accepted until Midnight Tuesday 19th November 2024. Payment will be required at the time of nomination. There will be a late entry fee of $50 plus the normal class fee & normal Administration Fee.
DRAW - A provisional draw will be sent out shortly after late entries close and final draw will be sent out on the Thursday prior to the event. Please note there may be some changes in the draws due to judge allocations and timings etc.
VOLUNTEERS - Events like this don't run with help, so if you can spare some time even just a few hours please let us know when you enter.
SCRATCHINGS Scratchings please email [email protected]. On the competition days all scratchings must be via SMS to 0401067592. Riders must produce a medical or veterinary certificate within 24 hours of the competition commencing to be entitled to a refund (less Admin Fee). This certificate is to be emailed to [email protected]

Conditions of Entry
Please read conditions of entry below prior to completing your entry.
Entries will only be accepted if the entry is completed on Nominate.
- A parent or guardian must sign for riders under 18 years.
- No telephone entries will be accepted.
- Scratchings are accepted up until 8pm on the day initial entries close. After that 50% of the entry fees will be refunded (not including admin fee) on presentation of a vet/medical certificate or invoice within 48 hours of the start of the competition day.
- No rider is to decide for themselves to take the place of a scratched entry; however, a move-up system will be in place at competitions.
- Horses may enter 2 consecutive levels (eg Prelim/Novice) but no more than 3 tests in total.
- Riders may not enter more then 6 tests per day unless authorised by the committee
- All competitors must present to the gear steward directly before or after each test. Failure to do so may incur elimination.
- Bridle numbers are compulsory in ALL events.
DRESS
• While riding on the Worrigee Equestrian Common grounds an Australian Approved Helmet and correct riding boots must be worn.
• Club shirts may be worn in junior and closed Unrestricted competitions. Plaiting is not compulsory for junior and Closed Unrestricted competitions.
All Competitors
- All competitions will be held in accordance with Equestrian Australia National Dressage Rules
- Callers are permitted
- Please observe the speed limits when driving on the Common Grounds.
- No horses are to be ridden at an SDC competition unless they are entered in the competition and the rider is a current SDC or EA member.
- Rider of the horse may be changed before the start of competition, with notice given to the committee.
- DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES.
- Coffee van available.
- Prams and push bikes may not enter any horse riding area.
- Club photographer/s may take pictures of competitors and they will be available for purchase, with profits going to the club. We will happily delete any pictures at the request of the competitor.

Neither Equestrian Australia, Shoalhaven Dressage Club Inc., nor the Committee or any member thereof, accepts any liability for personal injury (including death) suffered by any person from or relating to any incident involving a horse and whether or not caused or contributed to by the negligent act, error or omission of Shoalhaven Dressage Club Inc, the committee or a member thereof.
