About Jemimah
Jemimah Watson is the coach, riding instructor, and trainer of Jemwood Park.
With over 20 years of riding experience her focus on combining classical dressage principles with horse and rider biomechanics results in an understanding of what each riding combination needs in order to progress in their chosen discipline.
Jemimah has competed in show riding and dressage since a young age, successfully competing in multiple state and national championships. In 2016, she won the Australasian Grand National Champion Rider 17-21 years, and more recently in 2021, was awarded as one of the Top 5 Australiasian Grand National Riders 21-30 years.
In 2017, her focus shifted towards dressage and in early 2018 she travelled to the United States of America and Germany to train. Learning from some of the best in the industry, she was able to develop her riding, training and teaching skills with a focus on horse and rider biomechanics. This allowed her to progress even further in her knowledge and successfully compete at a Prix St George level overseas.
After returning to Australia, she has continued to coach clients during her studies and has a Bachelor of Animal Science. She continued her education by conducting research in equine respiratory health where she received First Class Honours. Now in 2023, she is completing her studies in the Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience at The University of Adelaide and will continue on to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 to become a Veterinarian. Jemimah also works as an Equine Nutrition Advisor with Hygain alongside her veterinary studies and Jemwood Park clients, a role she thoroughly enjoys where she can help educate owners regarding their horse’s specific nutritional needs.
She has been working with Jemwood Park clients for over 10 years and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. She is determined to help riders accomplish their equestrian goals by helping to grow their confidence, education and skills.
