OPEN TRAINING DAY

With only a handful of committee members available at our next scheduled Club day we have changed the format to be an OPEN TRAINING DAY to allow members to ride and train at the Equestrian Reserve, including over our lovely new Cross Country jumps. 🤩 The Equestrian Reserve will be OPEN to Club Members from 10am - 2pm. 

Jump With Us - Cross Country & Show Jump Training
The full cross country course will be open. You are welcome to train/school your horse over individual jumps or a combination.  You won't be able to run the whole cross country course but you will be able to put together a number of jumps for some genuine training. This will be a relaxed open training day and an excellent opportunity to give you and your horse the time you need to really master individual cross country jumps.

There will also be a small show jump course setup for some additional jump training.  As this is an open training day, with only a few committee members attending, Club members are asked to chip in and help pick up any rails as well as stay until the end, where possible, to help pack up and put all the toys away. 🤩

Ride With Us - General Riding
If all you want to do is give your horse a day out to ride around and enjoy the beautiful Equestrian Reserve (as well as the company of your fellow awesome Club members), then this Open Training Day will suit you perfectly. Also an ideal day for young or green horses, giving them an opportunity to experience a new environment with other horses and lots of new things to look at! 

• Ride around the grounds at your leisure 10am - 2pm
• And if you are cruising around and think..."I'll just pop over that cross country jump" you MUST be wearing an an approved EA body protector/vest.  No exceptions! Even if it's just the one jump. 😉

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Gates open at 10am
• SIGN IN at the ADMIN table as soon as you arrive, and definitely before you get on your horse!
• Ride with care and respect for your fellow members at all times
• Ride with care and respect for the fitness level and capabilities of your horse
• Ride in control, dangerous riding or excessive speed out on cross country will not be tolerated
• All cross country riders MUST wear an approved EA body protector/vest
• RIDERS UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE must have Pony Club Grading Card for any cross country jumping
• Entry via Club entrance at 27 Canobolas Road 
• ONLY HORSES THAT ARE ENTERED FOR THE DAY ARE PERMITTED ON THE GROUNDS
• Dogs are not permitted
• Stallions must have prior approval by the committee before entering, please contact the Club in advance

• Please park responsibly. Follow any official's instruction and or directional signage
• Your health, safety and well-being is our priority. If you are feeling unwell please do not attend. COVID safety protocols apply
• The Equestrian Reserve has a number of holding yards with access to water (Orange's finest town water) at the end of each yard, there are toilets and a Club House
• Please take care if riding through any long grass
• BYO food, snacks and beverages

DRESS CODE

• Riding clothes with proper riding boots
• EA approved helmet
• EA approved vest for riding cross country
• Plaiting is NOT required
• Competition attire is NOT required
• In the event of warm weather please remember to stay hydrated, drink plenty of water, wear your hat, sunscreen, cover up and enjoy the shade - compliments of our lovely Eucalypts.
