1. Club Membership I would like to become a member of the Gloucester Horse Riding Club Inc. I agree to abide by the rules and Regulations as laid down in the Rules of Incorporation and any amendments or additions made by the Committee from time to time. I also agree to pay applicable affiliation fees when due. By becoming a Club Member I acknowledge the Medical & Ambulance Authorisation, Risk Waiver, Privacy Guidelines, Equestrian Australia Helmet Regulations listed below. *

3. Risk Waiver
I acknowledge that Gloucester Horse Riding Club Inc. actives are dangerous and that accidents causing death, bodily injury, disability and property damage can and do happen. Being fully aware of this, I wish to involve myself in Gloucester Horse Riding Club Inc. activities. I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and have read and understood the Risk warning prior to signing and becoming a member of the Club. *
4. Privacy Form
Gloucester Horse Riding Club is complying with the Privacy Act guidelines about collection and use of your information. Members’ details are forwarded to the insurance company for public liability insurance purposes and sued for the mailing of Gloucester Horse Riding Clubs newsletters.

5. Equestrian Australia Club Insurance
Gloucester Horse Riding Club Inc. is an Equestrian Australia affiliated Club with EA we have access to the EA National Insurance Programme, which offers clubs Personal Accident, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Management Liability Insurance.
6. Equestrian Australia - Helmet Regulations for Club Members
I acknowledge as a Gloucester Horse Riding Club Inc Member to wear a current protective headgear that conforms with the approved safety standards with Equestrian Australia. This includes riding at all Club / Training and competition events.
As per the EA General Regulations, Article 122.2: Dress and Salute, the following will apply:
Except where Sport Rules allows otherwise, riders and drivers competing in an EA competition, must wear an approved helmet with the chin strap fastened at all times. The same is recommended when riding a horse at any time.
Protective headgear must conform with one of the current approved safety standards:
o Current Australian standard AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) provided they are SAI Global marked.
o New Australian standard ARB HS 2012 provided they are SAI Global marked.
o New Australian standard ARB HS 2012 provided they are SAI Global marked.
o Current American standard SNELL E2001.
o Current British standard PAS 015 (1998 or 2011) provided they are BSI Kitemarked.
o Interim European Standard VG1 (01.040: 2014-12) with or without BSI Kitemark.
NOTES :
• On December 16, 2014, the European Union announced that the (BS)EN1384 helmet certification standard would be withdrawn. EA decided to withdraw this certification from the list of approved standards, starting on 1 January 2017.
• Helmet Manufacturers generally recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years or so.
• If you have a hard-blow impact accident while wearing your helmet, it is recommended to immediately replace it for a new model. There may be damage to the helmet that is not visible to the naked eye.
• It is the rider’s responsibility to wear the approved standard.
• The club/organising committee’s role is to take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with the rules by communicating the list of approved standards to their members/competitors when becoming a member or entering a competition.
