2025 Dressage Series

The series will consist of three events to be held on the following dates

May 25th, June 29th , and Sept 28th 2025

Entry into BHPC Dressage series is Free!

Overall HiPoint Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded to Rider combinations in each of the following categories,

EA Competitor -  tests as offered from the following :  Prelim, Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced, National Para-Equestrian tests of all grades
FEI Para-Equestrian tests of all grades

EA Participant - tests as offered from the following : Prep, Prelim, Novice
National Para-Equestrian tests of all grades

PCAWA, PCAWA Open.- tests as offered from the following : Prep, Prelim, Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced upon timely request

BHPC - - tests as offered from the following : Prep, Prelim, Novice, Elementary, Medium 

Leaderboard Points are available on some Pony Club Classes.

Competetors riding OTT Passport holders may also enjoy additional recognition through OTT sponsorship.  Please enter details where requested for your points and results to be recorded.

Please be sure to be familiar with all information and rules regarding the event and series. 

Series Information and Rules

• Draw to be emailed via Nominate. Riders must compete in the order of the draw unless they have requested and been given specific permission by the committee to change their order.

• Helper jobs are mandatory. Riders with two horses will need to select two helper jobs. We can’t run these events without helpers, so please be on time for your job! Those who fail to complete their assigned job may be refused future entries and/or be removed from contention for the series at discretion of the committee. Helper job selection to be made through SignUp, emailed with preliminary draw. First in best dressed.

• Horses and Horse/ Rider combinations are permitted to compete in 2 tests per day.

• Horse/Rider combinations may compete across only 2 levels. Entries received that do not comply with this will have their classes reallocated at the discretion of the organisers. 

• Riders must be current members of EA, PCWA or Bunbury Horsemans. Day Membership to Bunbury Horsemans available. 

• Only Bunbury Horsemans members are eligible to compete in BHPC classes. Day memberships are available. 

• Only EA Competitive and EA Participant members are eligible to compete in EA Competitive and EA Part classes. 

• Only PCWA and PCWA Open members are eligible to compete in PCWA and PCWA Open classes. 

• OTT Passport information must be provided prior to the event. 

• Combinations must compete in at least 2 of the three events to be eligible as a series winner.  

• COMBINATIONS MUST ALSO BE PRESENT AT THE FINAL EVENT. 

• Combinations may ride more than one test in any class, but they will only be eligible for points and placings in their first test.

• Combinations may change the level at which they ride throughout the series, but they will only be eligible for points and placings if they ride at the same or a higher level from their initial entry.

• Points are awarded to horse/rider combinations.

• Entries may close to other classes if class numbers are determined to be getting too large. First in best dressed.

• Changes to the draw after close of entries are at the discretion of the organising committee. It is the competitors responsibility to enter the correct age group/class.  

• Series winners and placegetters will be announced at the final event on Sept 29th . You must be present to be eligible for your award.                                   

• The series winners will be decided by the combination(s) accumulating the most points over the series as determined by the organising committee.                                                                                                                                            

• Riders are required to wear Official Pony Club uniform, and will be subject to a PCWA Gear Check if competing as a PCWA Member.  PCWA Open and BH&PC Members must comply with PCWA Open gear checking rules. Jackets/Pony Club Jumpers required, but may be removed at judge’s discretion, long sleeves as required under PCWA rules.

• Plaiting is OPTIONAL for PCWA members.

• Organisers reserve the right to amend or join classes as required and have absolute discretion to change the program or reschedule the event for any reason.

• Organisers reserve the right to determine and/or amend prizes for each and any class/section according to the amount of entries received, or for any other reason.

• All protests or queries regarding scoring and/or series place getters, must be made to the organisers within 30 minutes of results being published. Rosettes and ribbons will be available after this 30 minute window has elapsed. 

• Arena orientation will be permitted 30 mins before first class.

Refund Policy - Event Fees

• Where a scratching is received before event entries close an refund will occur when Nominate program is used.

• Where a scratching is received after event entries close a full or part refund MAY be considered on a case by case basis.

• For a SICKNESS refund to be approved, the entrant must provide the Treasurer with the following evidence within 5 working days of the scratching:

(a) A medical certificate that the rider, an immediate dependent, or the adult

supporter in the entry is unable to attend,

OR

(b) A veterinary certificate that the horse is not able to compete on the day.

Where a scratching is made on or after the event commences, no refund is available.

If any conditions are not met, refunds will only be approved in exceptional circumstances as approved by the BH&PC Committee.

EA Competition conditions:

•   ALL RIDERS MUST PROVIDE A HELPER. Helper must be 16 yrs or older. 

•   Your helper will be required for either 2 jobs or an extended helper job if you are riding more than one horse at the competition. 

•   All Riders must be 2025 Equestrian Australia (EA) Competitor or Participant member. Membership cards must be supplied upon request to the organisers.

• Stallions are permitted in EA and BHPC Restricted Classes only

•   The competition will be run under current rules for dressage including current gear checking. It is the responsibility of riders to know what these rules are. Rules are freely accessible via the EA websites.

•   An EA Disclaimer must be signed and submitted (via Nominate or mail/email) or entry will not be accepted.

•   The organising committee reserves the right to alter or amend the programme or refuse entry. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Entrants must adhere to the EA Codes of Conduct.

•   Neither the organising committee nor the affiliated bodies to which the host club belongs accepts any liability for any accident, injury, damage or illness to horses, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever

• PC Competition conditions:

•   ALL RIDERS MUST PROVIDE A HELPER. Helper must be 16 yrs or older. 

•   Your helper will be required for either 2 jobs or an extended helper job if you are riding more than one horse at the competition. 

•   All Riders must be 2025 Pony Club members. Membership cards must be supplied upon request to the organisers.

• Asterisk denotes Leaderboard Classes.

• Riders MAY NOT enter a leaderboard and non leaderboard pony club class of the the same test.

•   The competition will be run under current rules for PC dressage including current gear checking. It is the responsibility of riders to know what these rules are. Rules are freely accessible via the EA and PCWA websites.

•   An EA Disclaimer must be signed and submitted (via Nominate or mail/email) or entry will not be accepted.

•   The organising committee reserves the right to alter or amend the programme or refuse entry. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Entrants must adhere to the PC Codes of Conduct.
