Join us at the Level 1 Heartland Clinic, the first of our 6 part series where our goal is to equip you with the foundational skills all the way through to level 6 with advanced techniques
This foundational clinic "mastering the basics" is just that! Perfect for all levels, this clinic will be all ground work based with an emphasis to begin the conversation between owner and horse. The language is called "ELF", equa lingua franca, a philosphy developed by Scott Brodie describing the principles of a common language between two species
This clinic focuses on halter and groundwork, mastering the basics, and how to start the conversation with your horse, ensuring you develop a strong foundation for future training
This clinic will be done all in the rope halter, your horse can be unbroken or highly educated, any breed or discipline, this is the foundation for communicating better with your horse, there is something in this for everyone
Learning Outcomes:
During the clinic, you will learn to gain and maintain your horse's attention using effective halter techniques. Understanding the importance of position and timing will allow you to communicate clearly and effectively with your horse. We'll also introduce a learning mentality, cultivating an environment that encourages your horse to learn and respond positively
The clinic will cover the concept and application of negative reinforcement, teaching YOU how to apply it in training and with your own horse
