Information:
Riders eligible for C testing from any Tasmanian Pony Club are welcome to attend. All riders need to have checked with their club DC /Chief Coach that they are ready to be tested. Your DC will provide you with a self assessment sheet which you can go through to ensure you are confident in all areas to be assessed. All entries received will be checked with relevant DCs that riders are supported to attend.
Once your Nominate entry is received you will be sent the written theory assessment paper along with the link to complete the test paper online.
Hard copy of test paper must be received by your DC or Robyn Pearshouse by Friday 5th January 2024 for marking.
The test paper can be completed "open book" with your C manual and generally takes around 1 hour in total.
All other sections of the proficiency assessment will occur on January 25th.
Riders should wear formal pony club uniform for initial testing and will be able to change into active uniform later in the day. Back-protectors will be required for cross-country elements. Riders should bring all tack, grooming equipment, vet kit, bandages/boots. Horses and ponies need to be well presented, clean and tidy. Horses DO NOT need to be plaiting for C assessment
Parents are welcome to stay to observe from afar, help with set-up and pack-down, but are asked to not be involved in any way in the testing process on the day, including coaching from the sidelines. Parental coaching/involvment could jeopardise your childs assessment and require them to attend another time.
Lunch and snacks can be purchased from Huntingfield Pony Club and closer to the date we will ask for pre-orders for lunch
