Classical Work in Hand
The Level 2 Heartland Clinic is the second step in our 6-part series, designed to deepen your understanding of the Equa Lingua Franca (ELF) philosophy developed by Scott Brodie. ELF is a shared language between horse and rider, helping to cultivate clearer communication and mutual respect. In this clinic, you'll learn how to connect more effectively with your horse using classical in-hand techniques, setting the stage for future progress through advanced levels of training.
This clinic focuses on refining your skills by introducing important concepts and exercises that build upon the basics. You will gain insight into the action of the bit, lateral and vertical flexion, and the importance of posture in your horse's movement. Through both theoretical discussions and practical exercises, you'll begin to explore the interplay of aids and how they shape the horse's response in hand.
