Day One

• 9:00am – 10.00 am Meet and greet in the Club House meeting room for a coffee and talk.

We’ll start with a relaxed chat about your goals and any challenges you’d like to work on.

• Morning groundwork session

We begin on the ground, introducing the horse to key Working Equitation obstacles and cues that will later be used under saddle. This helps your horse understand what’s being asked before you ride, building confidence and understanding.

• Afternoon ridden session

We move on to ridden exercises based on the morning’s groundwork — including sidepassing over poles, backing through L-shaped lanes, and developing control and softness through turns on the forehand and hindquarters.

Day Two

• Morning check-in and review of progress

We’ll revisit any challenges from the previous day and refresh groundwork or ridden exercises as needed.

• Obstacle work under saddle

Riders have the opportunity to apply their new skills to more complex patterns — such as opening and closing a gate, combining precise control with calm, confident communication.

• After-lunch session

We build on the morning’s progress with more flowing obstacle work, focusing on harmony, rhythm, and teamwork between horse and rider.

Throughout the clinic, we tailor each exercise to suit the horse and rider’s current level of confidence and ability. Our goal is for both of you to leave feeling more connected, capable, and ready to enjoy the sport of Working Equitation — whether for fun or future competition.

Our clinics rely on confirmed pre‑booked entries so we can secure coaches and cover venue costs. Refunds are generally not available once a booking is accepted.

Refunds will only be considered with a vet certificate (horse) or medical certificate (rider) stating the horse or rider is unfit to attend. Certificates must be provided within 7 days of the clinic date.

If you can no longer attend, your entry may be transferred to another club member to take your place. Transfers must be advised to the Secretary before the clinic.

Requests for exceptional circumstances must be submitted by email to the Secretary. The Committee will review each case individually and its decision is final.

If the club cancels the clinic, refunds or credits will be issued in line with the Event Cancellation Policy.
