Jemimah Watson is the coach, instructor and trainer at Jemwood Park, bringing over 20 years of riding experience and more than a decade of coaching expertise. Specialising in classical dressage principles and horse-and-rider biomechanics, she helps riders develop confidence, skill and performance across disciplines.

A highly accomplished competitor, Jemimah has achieved success at state, national and Australasian championship level, including winning the 2016 Australasian Grand National Champion Rider (17–21 years) title. She has trained extensively in Australia, the United States and Germany, competing successfully at Prix St Georges level overseas.

Alongside her coaching career, Jemimah holds a Bachelor of Animal Science (First Class Honours), a Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience, and is currently completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Her background in equine research, nutrition and veterinary science enables her to provide a holistic, evidence-based approach to horse and rider development.

LEVEL OF HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION (to be used as a guide for group allocation):
A: Walk/Trot level - For combinations that can walk and trot in a group situation, and working towards cantering in a group situation.
B: Preliminary level - For combinations that can walk, trot and canter in a group situation.
C: Novice and above level - For combinations that can confidently walk, trot and canter in a group situation and lateral work established.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

• Riders must be a current member of the MCDC to participate. 
• MCDC reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule the Training Days as required.
• The event will be governed by the EA rules, and all participants must have read and understood the MCDC Risk Management Policy.
• Bookings will be taken on a “first in, first served” basis, provided an entry form and payment is received.  Please contact the Coordinator via email/phone/text before paying to ensure there are places still available.
• Scratchings: Entry fees will be refunded in full providing the horse is scratched prior to the closing date for entries.  After the closing date, 50% of the entry fee will be refunded on receipt of a written application, supported by a veterinary or medical certificate. To qualify for a refund, you must advise the Training Day Coordinator directly by phone or text by no later than 8:30 am on the day of the event.  If notification is received after this time or not at all, no refund will be provided.
• Any rider substitution’s must be discussed with the TD Committee first, as people on the waiting list get first preference.
• Disclaimer—Neither the Organising Committee of any competition/event to which these rules apply, nor the EA accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
• MCDC has an official photographer, whose photos may be used for promotional materials, applications, newsletters & on our website.  If you don’t wish for your photo to be used in this manner, please indicate via Nominate.
