RULES & REGULATIONS
As an Affiliated Club we run under EA Rules; the safety rules will apply to BOTH SSJC AND EA members. It is the rider’s responsibility to be aware of the EA jumping rules and the CONCUSSION policy. This applies to ANYONE who intends to get on a horse ANYWHERE ON THE GROUNDS. The rules apply to ANY fall; the rider and horse (if horse also falls) will need to be checked and cleared before remounting and continuing. Failure to comply with advice from First Aid/Medical staff may result in refusal of future entries for our competitions. We also need contact details for a person who would be available to take your vehicle and horse home in the event that you are unable to drive home yourself.
Liability: Neither the committee nor the venue owner or lessees, nor any of the staff or agents shall be in any way liable for accident, injury or damage. Horses & riders compete at their own risk. All competitors & visitors have a duty of care to avoid exposure of themselves or other people to situations which could lead to injury. This duty of care extends to the prevention of damage of property. Events are run under FEI & ESA rules for Show Jumping.
