Hunter Valley Dressage - Official and Closed Restricted Competition

We have options for both Official and Unofficial competitors in all tests. Unofficial riders must have HVDA membership, Official riders must have EA membership.

HVDA membership is $30 for Single and $40 for Family membership for the year, through to 31 December 2026. Join us here

Entries close midnight Thursday 23 April. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Competition Categories

You must select a category to compete in for each class you enter. You cannot compete as both a Pony and Junior with the same Pony on the same day - you must pick your preferred category and all entries on that day must be ridden under that category.

• Open - Competitors who do not qualify for any of the following categories.
• Pony - Ponies must not exceed 149cm with shoes (148cm without shoes).
• Junior - Riders 8 years old (on a pony) or 10 years old (on a horse) up to 18 years old.
• AOR - Adult riders who are non-professional i.e. they do not derive an income from activities in equestrian sport. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Para/Equibility/Virtus Test of Choice

Para, Equibility and Virtus riders have the option to ride up to 2 tests of their choice. Please indicate with your entry the test you wish to ride; EA or FEI, which grade and which test.

Remember to supply any Para or Exemption cards required to our Events Team via [email protected]. We will ensure these resources are available for our judges.
