2024 Tamworth Dressage Showcase

Conditions of Entry - All competitors to Read

This event will be held in accordance with current 2024 EA National Dressage Rules and any subsequent amendments. The onus is on the competitor to know the rules - LINK HERE

GENERAL INFORMATION:

1. Official Competitive competitions are open to all EA Competitor members. Horses must be EA registered and have a current dressage performance card. Official competitions attract grading points.
2. Closed Unrestricted competitions are open to Tamworth Dressage Club members and
   EA Competitive or Participant members. Horses do not need to be EA registered and don’t have to have a current dressage performance card. Closed Unrestricted competitions do NOT attract grading points.
    
3. CHAMPIONSHIP POLICY: a Champion prize will be presented where there are a minimum three (3) eligible entries competing. A further Reserve Champion prize will be presented where there are a minimum five (5) eligible entries competing. Where there are less than 3 eligible entries competing, a ‘Highest Placed’ sash will be awarded to the winning combination.

Subject to the above, Championships will be presented as follows using the Championship point system unless advised otherwise below:

• • OFFICIAL: Open, AOR & Pony Championships:  Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced, FEI Small Tour, FEI Medium Tour and FEI Big Tour
     

- The FEI Small Tour Champion will be determined by the highest combined results using the championship point score system in the PSG & Inter I competitions

- The FEI Medium Tour Champion will be determined by the highest combined results using the championship point score system in the Inter A & Inter B competitions

- The FEI Big Tour Champion will be determined by the highest combined results using the championship point score system in the Grand Prix & Grand Prix Special competitions
 

• CLOSED UNRESTRICTED Championships: Preliminary, Novice & Elementary

4. Entries close midnight Friday 1^st November 2024
5. Riders and/or horses may be changed after close of entries but must be advised to the event secretary in writing by COB on the Monday prior to the event (Monday 25^th November 2024). Draw position cannot be changed without permission of the OC. One rider per horse for the entire event.
6. Horses may compete in two consecutive levels only.  No more than two tests per horse per day. Limit of three horses per rider per day
7. Hors Concours (non-competitive); Horses may compete at any EA level but must compete HC/NC if competing below their level. Riders wishing to ride HC/NC must declare their intention in writing before the start of the class.
8. Scratchings will be accepted by Nominate up to the closing date. Scratchings after the closing date must be advised to the event secretary: [email protected]  
9. Refunds as per EA rules. In the event of cancelled events, $10 per test will be retained to cover costs. The compulsory levies are non-refundable.
10. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter or cancel any competition at its discretion.
11. Veterinary checks: Random swabbing may take place. If approached by a member of the OC/Vet Officer of the day, competitors/person responsible for the horse must allow samples to be taken from their horse for drug tests.
12. Stabling, Tack Rooms & Camping (minimum 2-night stay) and Day Parking are to be booked direct with AELEC through Nominate
13. Gear Check: All competitors MUST present to the Gear Steward. Failure to do so will incur elimination.
14. Any power or authority vested in the committee by these conditions of entry may be exercised by the Official of the Day or, with the concurrence of that person, any member of the committee. The ‘Official of the Day’ is the person from time to time nominated by the committee as such. Any rider who fails to comply with these conditions of entry, or a direction of a member of the committee, may be eliminated.
15. Callers are permitted as per EA rules.
16. Class numbers are strictly limited. Entries are taken on a ‘first in’ basis. Only online entries via Nominate will be accepted. Telephone/email entries will not be accepted. In the case of oversubscription, a waiting list will be established. TDC members will be given preference if oversubscribed.
17. Registration & Performance Cards must be available on the day of the competition.
18. TDC supports stallion safe guidelines adopted by EA. From 1 July 2018, the new Stallion Rules will be implemented. 19. Property Identification Code (PIC) numbers are required for all TDC events. Please advise your PIC on the entry form.
20. Horse Identification Numbers (ID)  (bridle numbers) & EA numbers must be advised at time of entering. ID numbers (2 – one on either side of the horse) must be clearly displayed so that the judge can identify the rider when riding in front of the judge’s vehicle. Official competitions: riders are not required to stop at the judge’s car.
21. Horses/ponies or riders not entered in the event may not be ridden/ride on TDC hired areas of AELEC.
22. Sponsorship logos; please refer to EA rules for size.
23. Visitors and spectators are welcome at all times but must remain in or on the designated areas and walkways. Only those persons calling a test are permitted within the 10m exclusion zone of the arenas. Anyone in breach of this rule will be asked to leave.
24. PRIZE POLICY: Ribbons to 6th place. Prize money and/or Goods-in-Kind where entries/sponsorship allows.
25. DOG POLICY: Dogs are allowed at AELEC and we are a dog friendly club, but for the safety of everyone involved in our events please observe the following strict rules around dogs at Tamworth Dressage Club events:

• Anyone bringing a dog on to the AELEC grounds agrees to adhere to the venue rules & regulations
• All dogs must always be ON A LEASH and IN THE DIRECT CONTROL OF A RESPONSIBLE ADULT
• Dogs are not permitted in or around the warmup or competition areas, in or around the stable areas, inside the indoor arena (including the concourse areas; as per AELEC rules), or in areas where food is served.

People in breach of these rules will be asked to leave the area. Multiple breaches may incur elimination and/or expulsion from the competition. Noisy or dogs being a general nuisance will be required to be removed from the grounds. Please don’t bring dangerous dogs to the grounds.
