April Dressage Fun Day @ Scott Brodie's Indoor Facility

With our February Dressage Fun Day being a huge success, we can't wait to host the next one.

Our dressage fun days are run to be safe and supportive for beginner riders, young horses or anyone in between to attend a friendly day out to put their dressage skills to the test. In this supportive environment, you are welcome to wear the attire of your chosen discipline, however, EA-approved helmets and boots are required.

SECOND TEST $30 if enter before 14th April 2023

Callers welcome and supported, also volunteers around if you need someone to call, if you mess up your test, just start again with no marks deducted. This event is more about enjoying an outing with your horse in a friendly atmosphere and meeting other supportive/fun horsey people. 

Scott will be doing the judging and give advice on where you could improve your dressage test rather than criticising if your trot down the centreline wasn't straight enough. We have had great feedback from doing the 'judging' like this.

"My First Dressage Test":
This test was introduced at our last dressage day and was a hit for those who had nervy horses or were feeling a bit anxious about coming to their first dressage "competition" as a rider. It involves walk and halts only and is a perfect, low pressure way to ease yourself/your horse into competiton atmosphere.

Warm Up Arena:
If it is not raining, warm up arena will be outside at our top arena, signage will be displayed for this. 2 horses before your test come down into the indoor and be marked off by the volunteer. 

Volunteers:
Welcome & needed if you have time we would greatly appreciate any help

Photography:
Georgia Young Photography will be photographing the event with photos available for purchase, please ensure you tick the box to say you're interested in purchasing photos when you enter as i'll be providing Georgia with a list on the day of competition. 

Freestyles:
We will have also have freestyles for prep, prelim+ (anything above). A perfect opportunity to come and dance with your horse to music in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Because the arena is 40m x 20m we cannot provide oppurtunity to ride the higher level tests however this is a great oppurtunity to do so with your own routine & music.

Music is to be emailed to email below the day. Music needs to be provided in a link form for Youtube or Spotify, if you're using custom music simply upload the file to youtube as an "unlisted" file and provide the link, contact us if you need a hand with this.

We cannot wait! These days are the highlights for us and we absolutely love riders getting out there and giving it a go, there will be ribbons from 1st place to 5th place.
