Working Equitation Training day START TIME 9.00am - FINISH TIME 3.30pm WHAT IS WORKING EQUITATION? Working Equitation is based the traditions and techniques of the cattle working farm horse. The aim of harmony between horse and rider is centred on good training in a humane ethical manner. Working Equitation is comprised of four phases, including working dressage, ease of handling with obstacles, speed obstacles and cattle handling. It is a great sport steeped in history as the qoal is to preserve and carry on the cultural traditions of each country and their horses." Working equitation was pioneered by four countries: Italy, Portugal, Spain, and France, with the first International competition being held in 1996. In 2004, the World Association for Workinq Equitation was established to govern the sport internationally. Since that time, the sport has continued to grow around the world.
