Ever wanted to try Hunting?

Come join The Sydney Hunt Club and experience the traditions of Hunting.

Join us at our Opening Meet on May 4th, in collaboration with Equestrian NSW for an introduction to the timeless sport of hunting. This is a great opportunity to try something new with your horse. This event is designed to provide a safe introduction, experience the thrill, learn the history and etiquette.

What to Expect?

● A guided introduction to a day of hunting.

● Hands-on experience with hounds and horses

● Jumping and non-jumping options as we ride through beautiful countryside

● Meet experienced Hunt members and learn from their experience.

● BBQ lunch

When & Where:

Sunday May 4th on a beautiful property 25 minutes west of Goulburn. Arrive at 8.30am, tacked up and ready to ride out at 9.30am. Final location provided upon registration.

No hunting experience necessary!
Riders should be intermediate level and above, with the ability to control their horse in all gaits in an open paddock and group setting. The hunt is not entirely at a fast pace. Duration is approximately 3.5 hours with the opportunity to retire earlier if required.

A body protector is recommended for those planning on jumping (jumps are a maximum 90cm). Horses should be plaited or hogged and well presented. Any tack is acceptable - it should be clean and well fitting. Saddle pads are to be muted colours. Helmets must have an EA tag. Riders, please wear beige or white jodhpurs, tie or stock and a riding jacket.
