CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & PARTICIPATION
EA Dressage Competition Rules (effective 1 January 2024 & FEI Rules apply).
The Committee has the right to cancel a competition as it sees fit.
Each rider is restricted to two (2) horses.
You must NOT DRIVE across the grassed areas between or around the arenas.
DOGS are NOT allowed on the OEC Grounds.
CHILDREN must be under the direct and close supervision of an adult at all times.
If the Club Championships are cancelled for any reason a refund will be given excluding all levies.
Scratching’s after the closing date will not be refunded unless a medical or veterinary certificate is produced within 7 days after the event excluding all compulsory levies
Scratching’s before the closing date of entries will be refunded as per EA rules, excluding all compulsory levies.
Only horses that are entered on the day are permitted on the grounds during the event.
Stallions should wear the official identification disc at all times whilst at the venue (as per EA guidelines)
ELIGIBILITY
OEC’s Competition year runs from 1st January to 31st December.
Riders must be a financial member of the Orana Equestrian Club Inc for three (3) months prior to the Club Championships.
To be eligible to ride at the Club Championships, members must have completed 3 forms of participation in the calendar year including;
- riding at OEC events, volunteering and OEC clinics
All OEC members that may not be eligible this year are still welcome to ride HC. All other matters not covered by the above regulations shall be referred to the Committee for their determination.
Note: Hors concours (HC) engaged in a contest but not competing for a prize
COMPETITOR INFORMATION & SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Bridle numbers must be worn on both sides of the horse (Bridle or Saddlecloth) at all times whilst at the competition grounds outside stables.
- The event will be held in accordance with current EA Dressage Competition Rules as amended, except where FEI Rules apply and will include the OEC Competitive and Closed-Unrestricted and Junior Dressage Events Conditions of Entry 2024.
- Junior – Open to juniors of member family membership of the OEC and EA current members. Junior riders must be under 18 years of age.
- Ribbons, prize money and/or goods in kind will be awarded to horse/pony/Junior rider place getters in all competitions and may be different for horses/ponies or Junior Riders.
- Horses may compete in a maximum of 2 competitions, per day.
- Gear Check: All competitors must present to the Gear Steward after each competition. Failure to do so may incur elimination.
Risk Warning and Disclaimer
- Horse riding is a dangerous activity and can result in serious injury (including death) and loss.
- All persons who ride, or tend to a horse on these grounds do so entirely at their own risk.
- Neither the Organising Committee of any competition to which these rules apply nor the EA accepts liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
- Competitors taking part shall agree that they will make no Claim against the EA/OEC or the Event Committee in respect of any matter arising from or related to a Standstill.
