Club Restricted & Participant: All Abilities Tests (Preparatory/Preliminary), Protocol Test, Preparatory, Preliminary & Novice
Official (incl ponies): Preliminary to FEI (dependant on judge availability)
HORSELAND LAUNCESTON NEWCOMER COMPETITION
- Horses/Ponies must not have won a class at a Dressage Tasmania event in Preliminary or above.
- Horse/pony must enter both the Preliminary 1.1 & Preliminary 1.2 in any category.
- Overall placegetters will be determined based on highest combined percentage.
- Sashas and/or prizes will be awarded to overall placegetters.
DARLING IRRIGATION SCHOOLS COMPETITION
- Riders must be a Dressage Tasmania member and enter Club Restricted/Participant classes according to the level they wish to compete in.
A Level – Novice 2.1 & Novice 2.2
B Level – Preliminary 1.2 & Novice 2.1
C Level – Preliminary 1.1 & Preliminary 1.2
- Separate awards will be presented for: Primary School Students, Secondary School Students and Teams of 3 (3 students from the same school).
Horses may compete in max 3 classes per day.
Dressage Tasmania Membership Discount: Current Dressage Tasmania Members are entitled to a $10 / class discount.
Dressage Tasmania Day Membership: available at $15.00. No discount applied and availble for Particpant Classes only.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Club Restricted / Participant Classes: Rider must be a current member of either Dressage Tasmania (rider) or Equestrian Australia (Participant or Competitor).
Official Classes: Rider must be a current Competitor member of Equestrian Australia and the horse must hold a current Performance Licence. Ponies must also hold a current height certificate.
Protocol Test: please state the test you wish to ride as part of your entry. Comments and scores will be provided on a hard copy test sheet. Overall score will not be calculated. Riders must be a current member of Equestrian Australia or Dressage Tasmania.
All Abilities Tests: Riders must be a current member of Dressage Tasmania or Equestrian Australia.
ALL ABILITIES CLASSES
Is designed to encourage riders who may find standard dressage classes too challenging in a competition environment. This may include:
- Riders who require more support that the current competitive structure allows.
- Riders who may be eligible for Para or Virtus classification but do not wish to undertake the process at this time.
Tests Offered:
- Preparatory Tests – Riders may choose to walk the entire test or walk and trot movements, if preferred.
Additional Allowances:
The horse may be led for safety, provided:
- The rider maintains control of the reins
- The lead is attached to a well fitted halter, not the bit
- The rider supplies their own leader (eg family or coach)
A caller may be used – the caller may not coach but can provide more direction than is permitted under standard EA rules.
