WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION 2026

Perth Dressage Club presents it's Winter Compeition for 2026. We are pleased to be offering tests for Participant and EWA Competitor Members from Prepatory through to Grand Prix; Para tests are available upon request.

Entries Open: Sunday 14th June 2026 at 6pm
Entries Close: Wednesday 16th July 2026 Midnight or as soon as entries are full
Arenas: This competition will be held in the Indoor and International arenas only
EVENT INFORMATION
Classes
The event will be running the 2023 EA ‘2’s’ and '3's' at each level, as well as 2022 FEI Tests. Classes are offered for Competitor, Pony and Participant. EA ParaEquestrian and FEI ParaEquestrian tests can be accommodated upon request but may be subject to Judge availability.
Championships
Championships will be awarded for the following; Participant Prep, Participant Preliminary, Competitor Preliminary, Preliminary Pony, Participant Novice, Competitor Novice, Novice Pony, Participant Elementary, Competitor Elementary, Elementary Pony, Medium, Advanced, FEI Small Tour (PSG & Inter 1), FEI Big Tour (Intermediate II/ Grand Prix). Champion/Reserve: Champion and Reserve for each level will be determined by using EA Dressage rules for National Championships.
Entry Fees and Charges
Fee per Test $40.00
FEI fee per Test: $45.00
State Equestrian Centre Facility Fee (per horse) $15.00
2026 DDF Levies $10.00 per test to a maximum of $16.00
Helper Fee $10 per test entered

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By forwarding an entry to Nominate, the rider acknowledges acceptance & understanding of the Conditions of Entry for this event.
Rules
This competition will be conducted in accordance with the current Australian Dressage Rules (and Regulations) (“the ADR”), Equestrian Australia General Regulations and all other Equestrian Australia policies and by-laws, the FEI Dressage Rules (“FEI Rules”) and FEI Statutes, General Regulations and Veterinary Regulations. This includes Medication Control, Social Media and Code of Conduct regulations.
Competitors are advised to be aware of the current Rules. The onus is on the rider to know the Rules under which they compete. The ADR and Dressage Tests may be downloaded from the EA web site: https://www.equestrian.org.au/Dressage-rules
Rider Requirements
Riders must be current members of EWA as a "Competitor" for Official classes or as a "Participant" member for Participant classes. Competitor members are permitted to compete in participant classes as long as their horse does not hold a current competition licence (dressage).
Horse Requirements
Official Horses or ponies must be registered with EWA and must hold a current competition license. Official Horses/Ponies are not permitted to enter Participant classes. If entered as a ‘Pony’ the rider must be able to provide a current, valid EA Height Certificate showing they do not exceed 149cm with shoes, 148cm without shoes if asked.
Entries and Close of Entries
Your entry via www.nominate.com.au will deem you to have accepted the Conditions of Entry of the Competition and you will be expected to abide by them prior due, during and post event. Entries will close at midnight on the 16th July 2026 or prior when the allocation of places is exceeded.
Horses or ponies may compete in two (2) consecutive levels. For example, preliminary/novice; medium/advanced. They may compete in three (3) tests only per day at EA level and two (2) tests only per day when at least one, is an FEI level.

Refunds and Withdrawals
Entry fees will be refunded in full via Nominate for withdrawals before the closing date of Event entries. For all withdrawals after the closing date of entries, please immediately advise the Event Organiser Beth King at [email protected] or via text message on 0406 057 569. Voice messages left on the telephone service or sent via Facebook messenger will not be accepted.
Entry Fees will NOT be refunded after the closing date of entries unless a medical or veterinary certificate supporting the withdrawal from the Competition is provided to the Event Organiser within 24 hours of the completion of the event. 50% of entry fees, and an administration fee of $10.00 will be retained by the Event.
Volunteer Levy and Helper Duties
The volunteer levy for the event is $10.00 per test and is non-refundable. This allows riders to focus on the competition and their horse.
This event will require Volunteer Helpers to run successfully. Volunteer positions are paid positions at $20 per hour with the Levy contributing to the cost of these volunteers. Saddlery, Clothing and Equipment
It is the competitor’s responsibility to comply with the EA rules.
Arena familiarisation
May be held prior to the first test commencing and may be held during a lunch break. More details will be supplied on the draw.
Warm Up
Must be conducted in the designationm warm up areas within view of the Steward, no exceptions
Stables
Stables must be booked direct via the State Equestrian Centre.
Catering
There will be a catering vendor at this event.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted at the State Equestrian Centre on a lead. No dogs in the Indoor arena please
Helpers
This event will require Volunteer Helpers to run successfully. Volunteer positions are paid positions at $20 per hour with the Levy contributing to the cost of these volunteers.
