Riders must be a member of an affiliated Pony Club. Riders may be of any age and must be rally qualified (3 rallies), as must their horse (1 rally) to compete for their club. However, non-qualified riders and horses may take part but their score will not count towards a club. Combinations of rider/horse may compete in their nominated grade only. Riders may ride up to 2 horses on the day,
Riders from out of zone may use the event as a qualifier but will not be eligible for placings.
Entries will be sent to Club District Commissioners to confirm horse and rider combinations. Combinations must compete in appropriate grades.
Riders are required to be in full Formal Pony Club uniform.
Horses are to be plaited.
A Jumping Equitation class and a 2 round Show Jumping class, conducted under the PCT rules (same format as PCT show jumping championship – see handbook) will be utilised for each grade.
Prizes and Trophies
Ann Patterson Perpetual Trophy – Team of 3 best placed riders in any 3 of the 4 grades of the Show Jumping rounds. Juniors only can be counted in grade 3 and 4. If scores are even the score from the higher graded rider counts.
Keith Targett Memorial Perpetual Trophy – Best placed rider in the highest show jumping grade who is under 13 years of age as of 1st January 2026 (Jumping Equitation round not included).
A perpetual trophy will be presented to the team whose 3 riders place highest in each grade.
Ribbons will be presented to 4th place in each class.
