RAFFLE There will be a raffle running over the weekend that will be drawn at presentation, all clubs are asked to bring along at least one prize that can be donated to the raffle. All funds raised will go to Zone 19.

 

CLUB MASCOTeach club is encouraged to design and create a team mascot that will be used to cheer on riders from their club. It must not be on a horse or be a living thing and has a height restriction of 100cm

 

RAY BOTTLES AWARD This award is for a Riding member who has shown outstanding Sportsmanship, Horsemanship & Citizenship throughout their club and zone. This winner of this award will be select by the Zone officials. Nomination form attached.- Clubs are to complete and hand to Zone Secretary before end of Jamboree.

 

JAMBOREE RULES

  1. Club Points: The Jamboree is focused on whole of club efforts – all events count towards the club pointscore. Points are awarded based on placings of individuals or teams. Fancy Dress will be awarded 5 points per rider to your club for participation irrespective of placing.
  2. Attendance - riders can either be present on both days or one full day only. If present on Sunday riders must participate in the presentation of awards at the conclusion of the jamboree. Please specify which day/s riders will be present. if a rider must leave early for extenuating circumstances, riders must produce a letter to the Disputes Committee.  If a letter is not produced the rider in question will not be able to compete in the next zone event they wish to enter.
  3. Beginner’s RingSUNDAY ONLY. No age restrictions.  Riders are not eligible to compete in Open or Novice ring and must remain in either led or un-led events.  Riders on lead, must have adult member leading at all times. Points will be awarded for the Beginner events. 
  4. Riders may compete in ONE division  only – Beginners Led, Beginners Unled , Novice or Open Ring.
  5. Transition/Intermediate riders are to choose between Beginner Unled or Novice. Transition riders who require a closed in area should chose Beginner Unled. Transition Riders who are almost ready to go Open should choose Novice. If you are unsure, please speak with your Senior Instructor for guidance.
  6. Novice Riders - These classes are for riders who are in the Transition/Intermediate ring at Rally Days and have not won a ribbon as an Open Rider at a Pony Club event. These classes will be in the open rings, (may not be enclosed) are able to canter individually , but will not be asked to canter in a group. Riders are to choose either Open or Novice, and are not to change during the day without permission from the Technical Delegate on the day.
  7. Rules - All events will be conducted under the Pony Club Association of NSW rules.  One Horse, One rider rule applies for the entire Jamboree.
  8. Uniform - Full Pony Club uniform to be worn in accordance with current PCA Handbook.  Including Fawn or oatmeal jodhpurs or riding trousers.  Approved helmets only.If weather gets too warm then riders will be asked to remove jumpers.  Please ensure long sleeve shirts are worn. NO GAITORS for riders under 17 in show riding classes. All other classes Gaitor rule is as per National Gear Rules
  9. Disputes - Disputes committee will be members of the executive (at least 3) and has the power to make a ruling. The Judges decision is final.
  10. Scramble Teams - Teams are to be made up from within club first.  Scrambled teams will be at the discretion of the Zone 19 Committee
  11. Pony Club Mount / Rider – Snaffle bit only. Nosebands, whips and spurs are allowed. Workout will be sent prior to the event – aimed to identify an allrounder horse / rider combination.
  12. Pony Club Challenge – Beginners Led or Unled will complete this event in beginner yards. Other groups will complete in bunted area near the trees. A course diagram for each level will be posted at the clubhouse and near the entry to the class.
  13. Club Mascot - each club will be encouraged to design and create a team mascot that will be used to cheer on riders from their club. It must not be on a horse or be a living thing and has a height restriction of 100cm
  14. Team Managers : Each club to nominate one or more Team managers. They are responsible for the safety of their riders
  15. Classes may change after entries have been received with Committee Consideration 
  16. Dressage: For all Open or Novice riders . Any riders intending to nominate for State Dressage are encouraged to enter your respective levels.
  17. Pas de Deux Dressage: For Open Riders Only. This is a test that you design yourself, and is ridden to music of your own choice witha pair. The music should match your horse’s paces. Fancy Dress that matches your theme is allowed, but must include helmet and boots. See notes in Dressage section for more information
  18. Showjumping: This is for open riders only. Riders must be graded, and produce their grading card to the office at the commencement of Jamboree. 
  19. Ungraded rider event will be judged over poles on the ground, judging will focus on rider style, control, and optimum time. Ribbons will be awarded for each age group for this event.
  20. Technical Delegate for this event will be Leanne Bell
  21. Age Groups will be as follows unless entry numbers warrant changes. (Too high or too low). A detailed list of age groups and classes will be provided a few days prior to the event.

 

Beginners :

Age groups will be decided once entries are received.

 

Novice Classes: (Applies ONLY to Ring Events. For all other events, Novice riders will compete along with their respective age group. i.e along with the Open Riders).

RING EVENTS:

  • Handler – Led with horse saddled. To be judged on presentation of mount and rider and handling ability.

Pony Club Challenge

Course will be posted at the clubhouse and at the entry gate. This is a timed event. Time Penalties apply for course errors or obstacles knocked over. The course may consist of the following: gate, poles, bridge, carrying items, identifying horse gear, knowledge questions appropriate to age, various obstacles

Open to all Open and Novice riders. Riders are to complete the event when they have time throughout the day.

Saturday – Over 13 years

Sunday – Under 13 years

Ribbons will be awarded to each age group at the Presentation on Sunday.

Showjumping  - Saturday

AM7 – All grades – E Grade to C Grade  - Age Groups: Under 13 , 13-17, Over 17 years

B Grade and A Grade – All ages together

Ungraded – Fun Round – Poles on Ground – One round only -  Walk / Trot Only. To be judged on Rider Style, Control and closest to Optimum time. For Open / Novice riders of all ages.

Showjumping  - Sunday

Showjumping Team Relay – All Grades – All riders in the club form two teams (Ungraded and Graded) Time is then averaged based on number of riders.  All graded riders jump E grade height, Ungraded do poles on ground (Bring your cheering voices for this one 😊)

 

 

Dressage

Riders can choose one test from your appropriate level and can also do a Freestyle. (max 2 tests in total). Riders to complete their tests when time permits during the day. The Arena will be open from 10:30am until 2:30pm. You must complete your test within this timeslot.

Ribbons awarded to each age group in each level. Callers are allowed.

Prep 1 (2023)  (Saturday 10:30 – 2:30)

Preliminary 1.2(2023) (Saturday 10:30 – 2:30)

 

Novice 2.2 (2023) (Sunday 10:30 – 2:30)

Elementary 3.2(2023) (Sunday 10:30 – 2:30)

 

Pas De Deux Dressage– In the main, the rules for this competition are the same that applied to single freestyle tests. From time to time fancy dress costume is permitted in this competition. Approved safety helmets and riding boots must however be worn by all competitors If part of the fancy dress costume becomes unsafe the judge will eliminate that combination. create your own test to your own music – have some fun and even dress up for the occasion. Test to be no more than 5 minutes in total.

Music to be supplied on a device able to be connected to the speaker system – phone, ipod etc

Riders to provide a helper to play/stop their music.

This will be conducted from approx. 3pm – 4pm Saturday. Times will be confirmed a few days prior to the event.

Ribbons will be awarded based on Age groups

 

Quiz

To be held Saturday afternoon. Approx 5pm.The quiz will be a fun event, with riders having to answer general questions (about horses of course), as well as perform a few team activities.

Club teams to consist of 4 members – each Team can have only 1 rider at C Star or B certificate level.

Clubs can submit multiple teams. Clubs to provide team lists to office by midday Saturday.
