ENCOURAGEMENT COMPETITION

This competiton day will give riders the opportunity to compete in different types of competitions.
Also included are half/half classes to gain confidence
Venue: Huntingfield Pony & Riding Club Grounds, Howden
Entry fee $10.00 per class. Maximum of 3 classes per horse.
Maximum 1 Championship per horse.
We ask for this competition that you enter using your horses one word paddock name.
Prize money for first in Championship classes. Rosettes/Ribbons to sixth place in all classes. Randon lucky dip prizes in all classes.
All riders are required to pay a $15.00 ground levy to HP&RC and $10.00 medical levy which is in addition to the entry fee.
Entries close midnight Tuesday 21st April 2025 . NO LATE ENTRIES.
Draw will be emailed to all competitors.

Dress Code - as per Article 207.2 Jacket, white or light fawn breeches and Black or Brown boots. Shirts may have short or long sleve with white collar, white tie or chocker (Stock).
CLASS EXPLANATIONS:
Article 220.2.1.1 One Round Competition Against the Clock
Athletes with equality of Penalties for any place are placed in accordance with the time taken to complete the round and there is no-jump off.
Article 220.2.1.2
In the event of equality of Penalties for first place, there may be a jump-off Against the Clock judged under Table A over a shortened course over obstacles, which may be increased in height and/or spread in accordance with the provisions of the Schedule.
Article 229.3 (i)
This competition takes place over 6, 8 or 10 obstaces with an increasing difficulty. Points are awarded 1 point obstacle1, 2 points obstacle 2 etc, No points for an obstacle knocked down. Faults other than knock-downs are penalised as for Table A. The competitor with the highest points wins.
(Our course will have 10 obstacles)
Odds & Evens Pairs
Competition for pair of riders. Odd number of fences are smaller size and Even fences are higher fences. First rider only needs to go through start flags (Smaller fences) and Second rider only needs to go through finish flag.
Riders are encouraged to read and understand the different Articles used in Jumping competitions.
