THERE WILL BE NO CAMPFIRES THIS INCLUDES A FIRE PIT

Please if you are camping overnight and need yards you need to book as there are limited yards.

If you don’t book you WILL NOT HAVE YARDS.

Due to the large Program, classes will not be

held up or delayed for entrants.

RULES & REGULATIONS

HORSES AGE
* Horses Birthday taken from the 1st August. 2025
* Led young stock classes are for horses 3yrs and under.

HALTER CLASSES

* Horse can only enter one section – Pony Hack, Galloway Hack, Hack, Hunter Pony, Hunter Galloway or Hunter Hack.
* Led young stock is for horses 3yrs and under.
* Young stock horse height is to be placed in the appropriate class according to there current height.

* Young stock are not eligible for gender classes 

Young stock are eligible for height classes

* Pony or Hunter Pony is not to exceed 14hh

* Galloway or Hunter Galloway is 14hh not exceeding 15hh.

* Hack or Hunter Hack is 15hh and over.

* Hunter pony/ horses are to display a higher bone density and stronger leg action then hacks, also be well mannered but look fresh and alert.
* Led champion is open to all first-place getters.

* Led reserve champion is open to all first-place getters, and the second-place getter of the champion.

* Supreme led exhibit is open to the Champion Pony, Galloway, Hack and Hunter.

*Assisted are eligible to join in gender classes and best presented.

* Assisted are not eligible for champion or reserve champion.

*Best presented is not eligible for champion and reserve

RIDER CLASSES
* Led Line Junior Rider is for children not yet riding independently and still in need of parental/ guardian assistance. If you started year in assisted class you must stay in assisted or can move to under 10 but points will go on start of year class

*Assisted riders are not eligible for champion or reserve champion.
* All other Junior rider classes are to be ridden independently in the appropriate age group.
* Champion Junior Rider is open to all first-place getters in the junior rider section.
* Reserve Champion Junior rider is open to all first-place getters and the second-place getter of the Champion.

* Adult rider classes are for all level of rider.

* Champion Adult Rider is open to all first-place getters in the adult rider section.
* Reserve Champion Adult rider is open to all first-place getters and the second-place getter of the Champion.

* Supreme Champion Rider is taken from the Champion Junior Rider and the Champion Adult Rider.

HACK CLASSES

* Your horse can only enter one section – Pony Hack, Galloway Hack, Hack, Hunter Pony, Hunter Galloway or Hunter Hack.

* Led Line Hack is for rider not yet riding independently and still in need of assistance, and is not eligible for Champion.

*Beginner is for junior riders 17 and under off lead but not ready to canter

* Maiden must not have won a first place at any hack show.
* Novice must not have won an open champion at any hack show.

* Open are to have won a champion or higher at any hack show.
* Champion is open to all first-place getters in the Hack or Hunter classes.

* Reserve champion is open to all first-place getters in the classes and the second-place getter of the champion.

* SUPREME HACK is open to the Champion Pony, Champion Galloway, Champion Hack, Champion Hunter Pony, Champion Hunter Galloway and Champion Hunter Hack Only.
* Hunter pony/ horses are to display a higher bone density and stronger leg action then hacks, also be well mannered but look fresh and alert.

STALLIONS
* Stallions Permitted – However Stallion owners/handlers are solely responsible for their exhibit.
* Stallions only to be handled and/or ridden by competitors over the age of 18 years (in or out of the arena)
* The Committee reserves the right to evict misbehaving horses from the ring.

*Stallions must display a green disc on both sides of bridle/halter Ribbon will not be accepted

GENERAL RULES
* JUDGES DESCISIONS ARE FINAL

*Burrum active riders will not ACCEPT ANY BULLING OR ABUSE TOWARD ANY COMMITTEE MEBERS OR ANY COMPETITORS OR ACCPET ANY MISHANDLING OF HORSES.

*All assisted riders are not to be lead by anyone under the age of 18  

* ALL Competitors under the age of 18 Years MUST have a Parent or Guardian present to be eligible to compete.
* All Competitors with children on the grounds are solely responsible for your children
* Safety is Paramount No Prams in The Arena
* The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any misbehaving horses, competitors or visitors from the ring or grounds.

*No SMOKING OR VAPING around the ring you must go behind canteen if you are caught you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
* Burrum District Active Riders Inc. or governing bodies shall not be responsible for loss, damage or injury during the competition and competitors enter and compete at their own risk.
* Helmet and Boots Must be worn.
* Led Classes – Under 18 must wear helmets. 18 & over to wear a helmet, Western or Fancy hat.
* Burrum District Active Riders operate under their Club Rules, (NO other societies or organisations rules apply)
* Neat Attire, tidy ironed shirt, jodhpurs, jeans. Jackets, Vest and Ties Encouraged.
* Horse Presentation Optional – Plaiting, False Tails, Hoof Black, Quarter Markers, Make-Up etc.

* The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry or evict horses showing signs of illness or lameness and may be quarantined at the committee’s discretion.
