Class 12a – Preliminary Pas de Deux (A)
For combinations that have previously scored a 6.0 or higher
Class 12b – Preliminary Pas de Deux (B)
For combinations that have previously scored less than a 6.0
Class 31a – Barrel Pas de Deux (A)
For combinations that have previously scored a 6.0 or higher
Class 31b – Barrel Pas de Deux (B)
For combinations that have previously scored less than a 6.0
Class 33 – Barrel Compulsories
Preliminary compulsories. This class is for vaulters who are new to vaulting and have not competed previously or have only participated in a few competitions. It is also open to those who may not be able to participate in individual horse due to ability or age.
Class 34 – Introductory Barrel Pas de Deux
To give new vaulters an introduction to competition. At least one vaulter of the combination must not have competed previously. An experienced vaulter may compete in both Class 34 and Class 31.
Class 35 – Horse Development
This class is for people wanting feedback on their horse with or without a vaulter. Each entrant will have a maximum of 3 minutes and 2 gaits must be shown. It is judged with scores and comments but there are no placings. 1 horse point is allocated per entrant.
Class 36 – Walk Freestyle
This class is open to vaulters in Novice and below. A 1 minute freestyle at walk will be performed and judged as per the EA Vaulting Rules. 0.5 horse points are allocated per entrant
Class 37 – Trot Individual
Preliminary compulsories and a 1 minute freestyle performed at trot. 1 horse point is allocated per entrant.
Class 38 – Introductory Canter Freestyle
This class is for those who want to try a canter freestyle but are not yet ready to compete or have not obtained the qualifying score for Intermediate. Vaulters will perform a 1 minute freestyle at canter, scored only on Performance & Horse. Artistic score is not included. Mounts will not be scored and can be done at any gait. 2 horse points will be allocated per entrant.
Class 39 – Introductory Individual
Open to vaulters who have not previously competed in a participant or competitive level individual class. Preliminary compulsories at walk and the option to do a walk freestyle. No placings will be given for this class, however, vaulters will receive scoresheets and a ribbon for participation. 0.5 horse points are allocated per entry.
- New pas de deux combinations are encouraged to start in the category best suited to their ability
- AWD vaulters may choose to compete in the class best suited to their ability and have their scores ranked with all vaulters in the level. To qualify for the AWD end of year award you must indicate that you are an AWD vaulter by selecting the relevant checkbox on the entry form.
