This event is run under current national rules and FEI rules and all
subsequent corrections and modifications as published by the FEI and the EA with their provisions taking precedence. 

An arbitration procedure is provided for in the FEI “Statutes” and “General Regulations” referred to above. In accordance with this procedure, any appeal against a decision rendered by the FEI or its official bodies is to be settled exclusively by the court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

DRUGS AND SWABBING:
Random swabbing will take place at this event. The Ground Jury may at any time order the testing of any horse in accordance with the articles of the FEI Veterinary Regulations

CONDITIONS WHICH APPLY TO ALL CLASSES

1. LIABILITY
Equestrian Australia, Vic Branch Incorporated or the Camperdown Horse Trials Inc. committee does not accept liability for any accidents, damage, injury or illness to horses, grooms, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.

2. INSURANCES
All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents, or their horses. They are strongly advised to take-out third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date.

3. SPONSOR ADVERTISING
Competitors are authorised to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art. 541.

4. QUALIFICATIONS
As per current FEI and National Rules. Refer 
www.fei.org and www.equestrianaustralia.com.au 

5. FEI REGISTRATION
All Riders and Horses participating in any International Eventing competition must be registered with the FEI (Art 511.1 and 511.2). Registration has an annual renewal requirement. For more information, refer 
www.fei.org 

HORSE PASSPORTS
FEI PASSSPORTS/EA ID DOCUMENTS & EA REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES relevant to the classes must be presented at the arrival and ID examination which immediately precedes the first Horse Inspection.

Riders entered in the CCI classes MUST remember to take their horses temperatures twice a day for the three days prior to the event  and every day whilst at the event and this must be entered on the FEI Horse App.

6. ENTRIES
(a) Competitors riding more than one horse, shall have the starting order of their two horses determined by the draw. They will always be placed at the beginning and end of the time schedule.
(b) A substitute horse or horses may be nominated at the time of entry, which will only be allowed to compete in the case of veterinary certified injury or illness to the original nominated horse/horses.
(c) All entries must be online via WWW.NOMINATE.COM.AU , with all details completed including Commentator Details. Dressage times  CCI3*S, CCI2*, CCN1*L, EvA95, EvA80 and EvA 65 will be available on www.nominate.com.au when the draw has been completed.
 CCI3*L and CCI2*L will be available once Trot Up has been and posted on the Green Shed Notice Board and emailed out to riders via Nominate.
(d) Closing Date of Entries:  22/11/2024.
(e) NO ENTRY will be accepted without the correct fees. 

A compulsory $35.00 Eventing Levy per entry (with no maximum per rider) is payable on entry to assist with providing adequate Medical Coverage for this event and ongoing improvements to our sport.

7. DECLARATIONS AND WITHDRAWALS

If withdrawing before closing date, there will be a $25 admin fee withheld.
Presentation of a horse and subsequently passed fit, at the First Horse Inspection, will be taken as their declaration to compete. Any horse not submitted at the proper time may not be allowed to start. Please refer to

8. RIDING HELMETS and PPE (COMPULSORY CROSS COUNTRY BODY PROTECTORS)
Riders must always wear approved riding helmets on venue, including Dressage phase of competition. Helmets according to Rules at the date of the competition.

A) Helmets must be Tagged and there will be an opportunity to have your helmets tagged by Teresa Matthews (Event Secretary) Thursday or Friday morning at the Green Shed.  

B) RIDERS, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE AN ON-THE-SPOT INSPECTION OF YOUR CROSS-COUNTRY BODY PROTECTOR

C) NB.  If Riders are found to have no helmet tag or no sensory whiskers on their horse/pony then a  Warning Card will be issued by Officials.

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS
(a) The Organising Committee reserves the right to restrict the total number of entries in each class.

(b) FEI Passports will be collected at ID & Arrival
(c)
An identification number will be issued with the Draw, and must be worn at ALL times when the horse/horses leave stables/yards.
(d) Any rider wishing to compete is advised to obtain the applicable FEI and EA Rule Books.
(e) The Committee Reserves the right to conduct a ballot at its discretion.
(f) Dogs to be kept on leads at all times.
(g) ABSOLUTELY NO competitor vehicles , bikes OR HORSES allowed on the Cricket Oval No 1, Camperdown Golf Course, Bowling Greens, Tennis Courts and Private Property.
(h) Please respect this very beautiful Sporting Complex and surrounding land and property at all times.
(i) Non-competitive horse are not permitted on the venue.

10. ORDER OF STARTING
The order of starting for the Dressage will be posted after the completion of the First Horse Inspection for the CCI classes. Starting times for the Cross-Country Phase will be available after the completion of the Dressage. Order of show jumping will be posted as soon as possible after the Second Horse Inspection. Horses will jump in reverse order of position.

11. OBJECTIONS
Objections must be made in writing, signed by the authorised person making the objection, and presented personally to the President of the Ground Jury, together with any supporting evidence and witnesses and a cash deposit of Aust $150.00. General Regulations. 

12. EXERCISING OF HORSES
Competitors may exercise in the areas designated. Competitors may not ride on, over or near any part of the course, nor enter the dressage arena, under penalty of elimination.
From the time of issue, competition numbers must be always worn while horses are being exercised, whether ridden or led. Horses are not permitted on the Number 1 cricket oval under any circumstances.  No horses to be ridden or lead beyond the main venue entrance. Absolutely NO horses on the Golf Course. 

13. STABLING/YARDS
* Due to environmental concerns regarding our venue, all straw and manure MUST be removed and disposed in the skip/areas provided.  This is a condition of entry.

All FEI horses are not permitted to leave the venue after the first horse inspection until after the completion of the event
* Permanent Yards are available at the venue at a cost of $30 per yard for the duration of the event
* Portable STEEL yards $20 for the duration of the event are permitted and will be in an allocated area. i.e., left of the venue main entrance and be away from the boundary permanent fence by one metre.
STRICTLY NO ELECTRIC TAPE yards. Do not attach portable yards to the boundary fence.
* Non FEI competitors who have not been allocated yards please ring Ian Morton at South West Equestrian Centre

14. FODDER AND BEDDING
Fodder shall be the responsibility of the competitor. The following company is in Terang and has a large range of hay, straw, and hard feed.  Fodder, Hay and Straw can be ordered and prepaid directly to Terang Co-op and delivery can be arranged for delivery by end of business day on the Thursday

Ice will be available on Saturday @ $5.00 per bag. Please pre order your ice, only a small amount of ice will be available to those who do not order with their entries, you may miss out if you do not pre order. Can be collected from the Green Shed

15. PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE - this is a guide only, dependant on numbers this timetable will be altered accordingly 
 CCI3*L, CCI3*S, CCI2*L, CCI2*S, CCN1*L, EvA95, EvA80 and EvA65

Thursday Arrival Vet Check and ID  for all CCI Horses, Trot Up for  CCI3 and 2*Long horses. CCN 1*L will have ID and arrival and trot up to on Thursday afternoon

Friday    Dressage (All Dressage) and EvA80 Show jumping

and Compulsory Riders meeting, 6.30pm at the Green Shed.

Saturday Cross Country all levels and EvA95 and EvA65 Showjumping

Sunday – Second Trot UP for CCI 3 and 2* L classes  and First Trot Up for CCI3 and 2*S classes.  FEI Show jumping   CCI3*L, CCI3*S and CCI2*L and CCI2*S and CCN1*L

16. People on Ponies - You can enter the EvA 65, EvA80 and EvA 95 class by nominating that you are a POP and pay an extra $10 in your entry fee to be able to compete for the Best Performed Pony in the EvA 65, EvA80 and EvA 95 class.  Prize will be an inscribed rug and Rosette . A photo of the winning pony and rider will be sent to the POP committee. The POP class will be included in the main EvA 65, EvA80 and EvA 95 draw.NB.  If there is a complaint in regards to a pony’s height, we suggest the OC asks for a formal protest be submitted along with fee of $150 ( forms available on fei website) . If a protest is lodged and the rider/owner is unable to provide proof of height they will forfeit the prize.

17. Jean McArthur Memorial Award (Rug) - This is an award kindly sponored by Woodglen International Performance Horses - Wendy Heine and Tess Van Gestal - in honor of Jean McArthur who was a long standing volunteer to Camperdown Horse Trials and Northern Horse Park Lakes and Craters in the Dressage and Cross Country phases.  This award will be presented to the Rider and Horse who have produced the Best Dressage and competed in all three phases of the competition.

18.  OTT Classes.   The competitors in the OTT classes need to claim their horse via OTT Community to be eligible for any OTT awards/prize money.  Therefore you need to also include your horses OTT name and Microchip number.

19. COMMITTEE’S RIGHTS
The Organising Committee reserves the right to: -
(a) Accept any entry.
(b) Modify the conditions or to cancel the event
(c) Alter the advertised timetable
(d) Refuse entry with or without stating reasons in any case.
(e) Limit the number of entries in any class.
(f) Ballot any entry from the event.
20. CAMPING
Camping is permitted. No power is available but there are showers and toilets. Space will be limited so competitors must park as instructed. Additional showers can be found at the Caravan Park on top of the hill and can be used for a small fee. Fires are not to be lit in the open under any circumstances. This is CFA legal requirement.

CODE OF CONDUCT
1. In all equestrian sports the welfare of the horse must be considered paramount.
2. FEI and EA establish adequate controls in order that all persons and bodies under their jurisdiction respect the welfare of the horse.

3. FEI and EA Rules and Regulations in equestrian sport regarding the health and welfare of the horse must be always adhered to.  Competition Rules and Regulations shall be continually reviews to ensure such welfare.
