Online Test Video Guidelines
1. If you are not already a member, membership until June will cost $17.50 and give you a $5 per test discount. Membership is optional.
2. Enter your tests on Nominate
3. Ensure your arena is set up correctly, including measurements between letters
4. Ensure you have equipment to video. You may use a smartphone but it must be landscape oriented.
5. Video must be taken 5-10m from C, where the judges car would normally sit on an arena.
6. You may zoom when the rider is up at A, however keep the whole horse and edges of arena in the view as they need to be able to judge circle distances and movement accuracy.
7. When videoing, ensure your sound is turned on and the video is clear and steady
8. You may ride up to three tests over two levels in one day. You may enter up to four tests over two levels per horse but you cannot ride these in one day in the interests of horse welfare.
9. Upload your video to Youtube as an unlisted video and email the link to leetonddc@gmail.com between 7th-13th April. Only the judges will view your tests.
10. Your tests will be judged on the 14th of April and results will be posted on Nominate Scoreboard and App by the 30th of April. Ribbons will be posted out to the address nominated.
11. Please note: Refunds will not be given in the event that the video is of too poor quality to judge or late videos.

REA Leeton District Dressage Club - Conditions of Entry
Events will be held in accordance with current EA rules as amended, except where FEI rules apply. The REA LDDC committee may grant exemptions to the rules for special promotional competitions. The onus is on competitors to know the rules. The conditions below are relevant for competitions held by REA LDDC Inc.
1. Official Competitive, Closed Unrestricted and Closed Restricted competitions: Refer current 2019 EA National Dressage Rule Book for eligibility.
2. Official competitive competitions are open to riders above 10 years of age on horses, 8 years of age on ponies
3. Only ONE category per test: Open (Adult) OR Junior (18 yrs and under) OR Pony. Juniors cannot also enter as a Pony. Horses/ponies – All competitions (unless otherwise stated), are open to horses and ponies. Please indicate on the entry form if your horse is a pony. Pony divisions will only be offered when competition entries exceed 10 horses. Competitions will be run together, however placed separately.
4. Preparatory tests – open to horses who haven’t won more than 3 preparatory tests, or who haven’t placed at Novice level or above.
5. Height of horses/ponies – refer to current 2019 EA Dressage rules. Height cards may be requested at the event.
6. Ages – horses/ponies must be 3 years old to be eligible for a Dressage Performance card/competitor licence
7. Stallions – Horse float, yard, stable display green Stallion Identification Discs are to be shown at all times. Stallions are to be handled as per EA guidelines. Limited yards are available for hire for Stallions.
8. Due to time constraints, competitions will be limited to a maximum of 35 horses/ponies by the organizing committee. In the event of oversubscription, there will be a short reserve list. Horses will be accepted in order of receipt of entry (provided with ALL horse/rider/EA details). You will be given the option to transfer to another competition if you are on the reserve list. If you are on the reserve lists and there are insufficient cancellations, you will be offered a 50% refund.
9. Riders may be changed before the start of the competition, however, a rider of a horse may not be changed if another rider has ridden the horse at the event venue, either in the warm up, on in competition. Draw position cannot be changed without the permission of the Organising Committee.
10. Draw timing requests will be acknowledged by the Organising Committee, however, no changes will be made within 3 days of the competition.
11. One rider per horse for the whole event.
12. After the close of entries, a competitor may only substitute a horse or pony with the approval of the Organising Committee and no later than 48 hours prior to the event.
13. No more than 3 tests per horse can be ridden on one day and in two consecutive levels. No more than two horses can be entered in one competition without prior approval from the Organising Committee. If the competition entries are less than 10 entries, the Organising Committee cannot guarantee the recommended minimum of 90 minutes between draw times for horses with the same rider.
14. Horses cannot compete in Official Competitive classes below their graded level, unless they compete Hors Concours (non-competitively). This only applies to horses that have accumulated grading points (which occurs at Elementary level and above).
15. Hors Concours – Riders wishing to ride HC must declare their intention prior to the start of the competition in writing.
16. Bridle Numbers – two numbers are required to be worn when competing, one on both sides of the horse, preferably attached to each side of the saddlecloth or bridle and must be clearly readable. When presenting to the judge, the rider does not have to stop, however must make sure the judge has seen their bridle number. The bridle numbers must also be clearly displayed at all times when the horse is tied, in a yard, being lunged, grazed, walked at an event. Bridle numbers must be supplied at entry.
17. Scratchings will be processed in full (except admin fee) up to the closing date of entries. Scratching after entries have closed will receive a maximum of 50% refund for entries and yard bookings on presentation of a doctors or veterinary certificate to the organizing committee.
18. DNA – please show the courtesy of scratching before the day if you are unable to attend the event
19. Callers are allowed. Callers are to be discrete to other competitors
20. Random swabbing may take place. If approached by Official Steward/Vet Officer for the day, competitors must allow samples to be taken from their horse for drug testing.
21. EA Registration and Performance cards must be available on the day of competition (official events). No refunds for incomplete paperwork or registrations.

23. Warm-up – please use designated warm up areas, be aware of group riding rules, look where you are going, keep at least 10m from competition arenas. Warm-up arena is only to be used by those directly warming up for competition. Those working horses and not competing directly may use the open area behind the yards, however it is at their own risk. Lunging to occur in the lunging area.
24. Conditions for riding attire. Rules as per 2018 EA Dressage rules, riders training other than warming up for a test that allows the use of a top hat, must wear approved safety helmet at all times.
25. Gear check – all riders and horses must submit to a gear check by the Gear Steward prior to riding in a competition. Failure to do so will entail elimination. Please note that if competitors wish to ride in a Stock Saddle or other non-approved gear, they must have obtained a doctors certificate stating why the gear modification is needed. This not available to riders competing in the OC competitions.
26. Dogs – if brought onto the venue, dogs must be restrained at all times. They are restricted to the carpark only. Fines of $100 will be issued to the owner if a dog is found unrestrained or in an area other than the carpark. Owners continually not complying with these rules may result in the dog in question being removed from the grounds and impounded.
27. Yards – yards may be booked at the time of entry, provided they are available, for a fee of $15 per day and a bond of $20. Owners of yards have first priority, however if owners are not attending a competition, their yards will be hired out. If yards are booked but do not become available, the full amount will be refunded. The $20 bond will be refunded at the end of the event provided they are left clean and free of manure. The committee reserves the right to increase the bond if this not being followed.
28. No temporary yards/fences made predominantly of electric fencing or rope are to be used as per 2018 EA rules.
29. Camping is available at the event. Contact the event organizer for more information. There are limited powered camping sites for $15 per night. Unpowered camping is free and generators are permitted, provided they are shut off from 10pm to 5am. No horse arrivals prior to Saturday.
30. Video cameras and equipment are to be kept at least 10m from competition arenas, preferably at the C or A end of the arena.
31. All competitors must abide by current regulations as set down by the NSW DPI in respect to travelling and horse events. All competitors are to provide Property Identification Codes when entering.
32. Only horses that are entered for a competition are permitted on the grounds during an event, unless prior approval is sought from the Organising Committee.
33. Competitors are expected to follow the Code of Conduct as set by the EA. Any abuse of officials, judges, other competitors or horses will not be tolerated and a Yellow Card may be issued by the chief steward.
34. The REA LDDC organizing committee reserves the right to alter these conditions of entry
